I stood by the window, gazing at the darkening sky, the weight of loneliness enveloping me like a heavy shroud. Despite the love that surrounded me, there was always an ache in my heart, a void that no amount of affection could fill. The absence of my parents lingered like a silent specter, casting a shadow over every moment of joy and warmth.

For 16 years, I searched for love. It wasn't that I lacked affection; my grandparents, uncle, aunt, and their family all loved me dearly. But the love of one's parents— that profound bond was something only the fortunate few experienced.

Hello, I'm Roshni, daughter of the late Bhanu Singh and Meera Singh. I was just six years old when I lost them in what they called a car accident.

I grew up under the care of my grand parents and my father's best friend's family. They were like brothers, even more than brothers, one could argue. During weekends and school breaks, I would often visit them. Everyone, from their parents to their own children, showered me with affection.

At least, that's what I believed...

Rudraneel, that's my name.  As the eldest son of the family, I bear the weight of numerous responsibilities upon my shoulders, and I am prepared to shoulder them all.

At 26 years old, having recently returned from completing my master's degree in the States, I am eager to join my father in his business endeavors. Our family stands among the wealthiest businessmen in India, and we proudly hold the title of the richest in Rajasthan.

Having spent a decade away from my family—ten long years—I pursued my higher education in Delhi and Mumbai before venturing to the States for my master's degree.

However, upon my return home, I was blindsided by the revelation that my father had arranged my marriage to his friend's daughter—the very person I detest most in the world...
