I gulp away the painful desire to rip my ears off as Seokjin and I arrive at the packhouse; the last place I want to be. It's loud, music from the human world, played from big speakers—which were also bought in the human world.

Being blind advanced my hearing and I'll definitely have to get used to these loud beats. As if tonight wasn't already torture enough...

"Wow, Taehyung looks great," Seokjin mumbles as he bumps into my shoulder.

"Ah, yeah. I see," I say and bump him back. He chuckles as he smacks the back of my head.

"Brat. You know what I've heard? Taehyung doesn't think Hyungul will be his mate," Seokjin says rather excitedly. I still couldn't care less.

"Not? How sad... I don't know how I'll be able to sleep tonight, knowing that." I receive another swing at my head but duck just in time, dodging his attack.

"Come on, Jeongguk. You must be a little interested. It's about the future of your pack as well! If they're mates, Taehyung will be our Luna!" Seokjin says and I sigh.

"I'm not staying, so it doesn't matter," I say.

"Your father then! Your father is highly positioned in their army. Don't you want to know who he'll be fighting for?"

"I already don't like who he's fighting for, neither does he. What would change?" I ask him. Seokjin is quiet for a bit before he caves in.

"Well... Come one! We gotta go party and not think about anything serious. Let's get you drunk and laid," Seokjin cheers as he drags me along. I chuckle as I shake my head, Seokjin really knows how to party.

The party wasn't all too bad. If you don't count the loud music, sweaty bodies, and how Seokjin keeps dragging me places to avoid Hyungul and his little crew.

"Well, one thing is positive! There are so many people here, Hyungul would never be able to find you!"

Seokjin was right. From what I remember from the packhouse, the ballroom was big enough to fit over 100 wolves. The way people shuffle against me when they want to pass, you can tell there are definitely more than 100 here.

Then again, who would want to miss out on Kim Taehyung's birthday party? He's so popular, it is held in the packhouse.

"Jeongguk?" I heard the voice and knew immediately who was asking.

"Eunbi, hey," I say and scratch behind my ear.

Hwang Eunbi used to share classes with me till she moved to another pack. She visits often but we rarely speak these days... I remember when we shared classes, though. She was really nice, always. A bit blunt, but in a cute way.

"Never thought I'd meet you at a party," she giggles in my ear, standing on her tiptoes and body squeezed against mine caused by the crowd.

"Me neither. It's all thanks to Jin," I chuckle and point in the direction I had smelled Jin going.

"If you were to go to a party, I never imagined one thrown by Hyungul or his boyfriend," Eunbi confesses with a giggle and I couldn't help but laugh at how stupid it actually was.

"Again, thank you, Jin," I say and just know she's smiling brightly. I wonder what she looks like these days. I remember seeing her play outside with her friend Choi Yuna when we were small and I still had my sight. They looked pretty back then, I remember thinking. They're probably not much different now.

"I want you to meet my mate, Jeongguk! Her name is Yerin," Eunbi says, and soon after I hear another voice greet me.

"Hey, nice to meet you!" I smile and try to hide my shock when she hugs me enthusiastically.
