"It's fine...we can just walk. Just wear your cap and mask, it won't be big of a problem" she said, her tone was reassuring. He gave her a little nod with a smile before he walked next to her on the empty streets.

In the quiet of the night, under the shimmering canopy of stars, two best friends wandered the deserted streets. Their laughter floated on the breeze, mingling with the distant hum of the island. They paused to admire the intricate graffiti adorning the walls, finding beauty in the unexpected artistry of the urban landscape.

All while this, a sudden flash of a camera at a distant caught their attention. Their expressions shifted from warmth to confusion, then to realization as they understand they've been caught in the lens of a paparazzi's camera.

Her grip in his hand tightened when he was about to act on his reflex. He takes a deep breath before he puts his white cap over her head and pulls on her hand, "Let's hurry, hmm?" he said before pulling her hand into a run alongside with him.

So this is reality.

That only made her break into a laughter before him. They stopped a few minutes ahead of the hotel to gather themselves before they can look civil again.

"He booked us out?!" Dongwook exclaimed while his forearm rested on the counter. "This kid..." he mumbled under his breath as he ran a hand through his hair.

"Yes, sir. Mr. Lee said you were returning tonight so we booked you out." the receptionist said. By her tone, it was visible her heart was about to pop out of her mouth anytime.

"Okay, but we still have to stay tonight. Don't you have any rooms available?" Dongwook said, his patience running short.

"Uh...we don't sir but...uh we can prepare the penthouse for you. It can easily accommodate two." the woman spoke.

"That's fine, too." Yuri replied to her with a smile, her palm resting on his.

Yuri walked out of the bath with water droplets dripping down her hair strands. The corner of her lips curve into a smile as she sees him sitting on the sofa.

Dongwook put his phone aside after he just finished speaking with the manager. His eyes traveled tip to toe on her while she ruffled the towel in her hair. He'd seen her like a thousand times, and yet, her spirit had never failed to mesmerise him.

"Let's get some rest, you look tired" Dongwook said as he sat on one of the beds provided by the hotel.

"Really?" Yuri cuped her own cheek as she tries to hide her face. She indeed had a faint shade of dullness creeping over her eyes. She hadn't slept the last night.

It was her fear that kept her awake. She did not know if this was a dream or a reality. Her wish for it to last forever was not a joke. She really wanted it to last, and no risks were inteded to be taken by her.

"Mhm. New air makes you sick" Dongwook said as he leaned against the bed frame. "Since when did you start drinking black coffee?" he asked as he peaked on her cup of coffee.

Her breath hitched in her throat. Yuri had always despised black coffee. But at the moment, that was the only thing that kept her sane. She could not risk falling asleep.

What if this ended?

"Uh," a chuckle escaped her lips, "This hotel's one is really good. Want one?" she lied through her teeth.

"Nope. I need some sleep. You should too." Dongwook placed a pillow under his neck and pattes it a few times before getting comfortable under the blankets. "Good night" he said as he turned off the lamps on his side.

"Good night" she said quietly, almost like a whisper. She turned off the lights on her side as well, not wanting to disturb his sleep.

At the darkest of the night, when the cool breeze sent chills on her chills, she stood at the balcony. The azure ocean sparkled under the moonlight, while the Hallasan majestically dominated the horizon.

Yet, those peaceful tides failed to calm the anxiety of her heart. Yuri walked inside the room, closing the balcony's entrance. She sat on the ground next to Dongwook's bed, slowly stroking his fluffy hair.

I've always wondered how his hair would feel like. So this is how it feels.

She suppressed a giggle and continued to enjoy the peaceful scene before her. He was fast asleep. Even in his sleep, he looked majestic.

It almost feels unfair how everyone gets to enjoy his gracefulness for free, when they should pay millions to get a glimpse of this man.
