MINT CHOCOLATE CHIP; a flavour so out of the ordinary and only loved by the insane.

I guess i was insane then because every single time i was given the opportunity it was always my first pick.

"I can't believe you actually eat that shit." Dustin says shaking his head. His spoon scoops another bite of his ice cream before looking back towards me.

"Okay whatever Bubble gum." I say around my spoon, watching as he sends me a death glare from above his cup.

"Mint Chocolate Chip tastes like absolute toothpaste."

I roll my eyes. "That's how i know you don't brush your teeth."

He gasps, slamming his cup down to the table between us. We both laugh again before i hear a loud cough from across the ice cream parlour.

I look behind me at the two boys who practically begged to come with me when i left the house.

They were sitting across the parlour, Isaac ordered Cookie dough and Lee got a mountain of different flavours.

When i pitched the idea i would be hanging out with Dustin for the day isaac wasn't opposed to it. That was until he had somehow convinced Lee to tag along with him to absolutely spy on me the whole time.

I think Lee just agreed because he wanted some free ice cream. I don't get him wrong.

"So... you and him."

I look over my shoulder at Isaac who looks annoyed at something Lee had said. I smile to myself.

"Yup. Me and him."

"I'm happy for you. You guys make a good couple."

I shrug my shoulders, lifting my spoon and diving it into the teal ice cream below.

I feel Dustin's intimidating stare among me. His eyes are practically burning holes into my forehead.

"What?." I ask.

He rolls his eyes setting his ice cream aside. "What's wrong?."

I look at him confused. "What the fuck do you mean 'what's wrong?' I'm good."

He makes an alarm sound with his mouth. "Do you smell that?, cause I smell bullshit."

I scoff rolling my eyes. "I don't know what you're talking about."

"c'mon Dakota. You literally look like you're about to shit your pants."

"I do not!." I protest.

"Do too."

I scoff throwing my head back.

"Look i'm your friend. You can tell me if somethings bothering you."

I contemplate for a moment if i should talk about it. The overbearing fear that has been eating me alive for the past few weeks.
