The concern and care he felt for Siya had evolved into something deeper, something he hadn't fully acknowledged before.

It's more than just liking her. I love her.

The realization hit him like a sudden revelation, and he felt a mix of emotions—surprise, warmth, and a hint of vulnerability.

Siya, completely unaware of Sahil's internal turmoil, continued her work with a quiet determination.

In that moment of clarity, Sahil couldn't deny the depth of his feelings for Siya.

As Sahil grappled with this newfound understanding, he couldn't help but hope that, in time, the smiles and charm that defined Siya would return, bringing back the light that had temporarily dimmed in her eyes.

The clock in the office hallway chimed nine times, signaling the end of another long day.

Siya let out a tired sigh as she glanced at her watch, realizing she had lost track of time buried in her work.

With a slight slump in her shoulders, she gathered her belongings and headed towards the elevator, the empty corridors echoing her footsteps.

As she reached the elevator bank, Siya pressed the button, her tired eyes fixed on the illuminated numbers slowly descending.

Just as she thought she was the last one left in the office, the elevator pinged, and its doors began to close.

Siya's heart skipped a beat as she saw a hand stop the doors, and to her surprise, it was Sahil.

She watched him step into the elevator, his expression unreadable.

Sahil had been observing her from his cabin, noticing her dedication to work even after everyone else had left.

Something about her solitude prompted him to finish up his tasks quickly and catch her before she left.

Now, standing in the confined space of the elevator, neither of them knew quite what to say.

Sahil cleared his throat, breaking the awkward silence. How are you, Siya? he ventured, trying to ease the tension.

Siya managed a small smile, feeling a bit nervous. I'm fine, sir, she replied politely.

Sahil shook his head. You can call me Sahil. Office hours are over, he said, hoping to lighten the atmosphere.

Siya nodded silently, her gaze fixed on the changing floor numbers above the elevator door.

Sahil desperately wanted to break through her shell, to understand what was bothering her, but he wasn't sure how.

Tum thik ho na? he asked softly, his concern evident in his voice.

Siya hesitated for a moment before responding, Haan.

But before she could say more, Sahil attempted to broach the subject of the incident that had happened earlier.

Nahi, uss din jo bhi hua— Sahil began, but Siya cut him off abruptly.

Main thik hoon, don't worry, she interjected, her tone firm.

The elevator came to a stop, and Siya stepped out quickly, eager to escape the uncomfortable situation.

Frustration boiled within Sahil as he watched her leave.

Without thinking, he took long strides towards her, grabbing her elbow and pulling her back towards him.
