The whole group sat in the grass next to the forest , talking eating and few of them had some drinks.

"So when are we playing?" Mark asked looking around waiting for a answer "during the evening, right now the first band is playing, we go at 8 pm or something like that" Jules said looking at the program.

"Veronika, please don't get too wasted before we go" Ellie begged Veronika when she saw her drink in her hand
"Don't worry Ellie. I wont, and you shouldn't give me orders I'm the oldest one here." Veronika said taking a sip out of her drink.
"So why did you guys choose eclipse as your band name?" Nick asked looking at mark who was sitting next to him then looked at Marie .

"Well, it was the summer of 2019 and we were sitting in a meadow and we were talking how we should start a band, it was originally Jules idea. And while we were making up a name for it, a solar eclipse happened. And i don't know, we thought eclipse had a nice ring to it" Marie explained

"Oh that's really nice" Matt said
"Thank you" Veronika said looking at Matt who was sitting next to her

Matt looked at her back and smiled, then suddenly looked at Marie his smile fading but not in a bad way, the eye contact was painfully long. But it was nice, it almost felt like they had a full conversation just by looking at eachother

Marie looked away first and said "I'm going to go get some water" Marie got up
"Can you get me one too?" Matt asked his eyes squinting due to him facing the sun.
"Sure" Marie nodded her head walking toward this little stand (yk where u buy food and drinks at a festival)

"Two waters please"
"Alright" the old guy behind the counter said taking a plastic cup and filling it up with water and ice cubes,
"That will be 2 dollars" the man passed the cups to Marie
"You charge for water?" Marie said with wide eyes
"Ofcourse we do, but if you wanna drink for free you can always drink out of the lake near by sweetheart" the guy mocked Marie as a girl behind him the same age as Marie maybe older started laughing Marie smiled to try to hide her embarrassment "haha yeah okay here you go." Marie paid and quickly left walking towards the group
"Fucking brits right babe" the guy said

Marie's eyes widened when she heard that,

Marie saw the group from a distance and couldn't see one of the triplets and her bestfriend with blonde hair, her stomach immediately dropped "where's Veronika and Matt?" Marie asked
"They went to the lake I think" Sebastian said
"THE LAKE?? LETS GO OMG" Chris quickly got up

They walked for what felt like hours, not because it was far away, but because it was boiling hot outside, and walking in heat isnt the best, it just makes you hope you have some kind of superpower to teleport.

Marie didn't join the conversation behind her that was happening between Jules Sebastian and chris.

Chris was explaining how he was wearing swimming trunks right now because ever since he saw a lake while they were driving here he knew he needed to have a swim atleast once or something like that Marie wasn't listening too much, she was just holding matts water in her hand considering on just chucking it away just so Veronika couldn't make comments about her bringing Matt water all the way here like a dog or something.

"Hey Marie." Nick said, marie didn't even realise him walking next to her the entire time.

Marie hated how the way her mind works, it's like she thinks about something. And her mind is so powerful it erases everything around her and feels like she's watching a movie of her though or like she was in her own little dimension, she felt more safe in her head then in reality.

"Yeah?" Marie said

"Are you gonna swim?" Nick asked trying to make a conversation
"I don't know maybe? I'll probably just put my feet in I'm scared of lakes" she said
"Scared of lakes?" Nick asked trying desperately to keep a straight face on "yeah I hate when I step on things in lakes, I don't know it's creepy. But I also love lakes because they're like nostalgic for some reason. I especially like this lake since it's surrounded by a forest, and in the morning or the evening there's like fog everywhere it gives off like twilight vibes" Marie explained

"No way! Love that, we need to go here in the morning. I NEED To take some photos" Nick said
"You're into photography?" Marie asked
"You could say that, in high school I was in a photography club in school" Nick said "oh that sounds really interesting ngl. I always wanted to go to a American Highschool like, it seems like every American has the dream school experience"

"It's not all that Marie, it's literally just school, there's nothing really special about it" Nick said
"DONT EVEN START" Marie said "you should go to a European school and you'd change ur mind instantly, I've heard all kinds of stories from Veronika and she grew up in Eastern Europe. Even that made me happy that I grew up in Britain" marie explained

"So what's up with you and Veronika? You two seem close but also you two look like childhood enemies or something" Nick said looking directly at Marie
"Yeah no we're best friends" before marie could say anything else she heard Veronika yell "we're over here!" Marie turned around and saw Veronika and Matt in the water together.
