With evening sun dipped low, the girl flipped her flamboyantly curled hair once more , She calmly stepped into the threshold of the grand mansion. Her heels clicking with every step, as her rose coloured tweed dress and matching jacket shone under the pale lighting of the house.

She finally made her entrance, slowly taking off her sunglasses to gaze around the room.

Across the large table with an array of different types of dishes range of eyes came to meet mine.

"Good evening family."

I sat down in the last seat available, sighing heavily once more.

They all seemed to be in shock seeing me again but I ignored the stares, taking a prolonged sip of the champagne in the glass in front of me.

It was my first time back in Korea after 3 years since I had went to the states and finished my degree in law.

Safe to say it had been about 24 hours since my graduation and I came straight back unannounced. Now looking at it I had even seen some new faces.

"What? Did you not miss me?"

I leaned forward, stopping to pause at the stern looking man at the end.

My father.
I glared at him challengingly , a tiny smirk crept onto my face.
My mom quickly got up suddenly from the side and ran over, resting her hands on my shoulders she bombarding me with questions.

"Oh My Julie, you didn't tell us you were coming back."
"It's been so long, darling how have you been, did you eat; quick come get Juliette some food."She called over one of the maids.

"Well it has been three years since I was kicked out, it seems you guys are doing well, ohh and I see some new faces my dear brother got married I see ."

I smiled briefly at the guy opposite me, before downing the rest of the champagne.

"And I see you haven't changed Much Julie."He replied

"Oh hello Hyewon; it's nice to see you again."
I ignored the comment, calmly turning to speak to one of the only people in this huge family I could stand.

Hyewon was my eldest brothers wife, and one of the only in laws I could actually stand;we had been acquainted since highschool where the two supposedly fell in love.

The attention finally faded from me as my mother changed the topic to something random that I obviously didn't care about.

As the dinner went on I prompted to small talk with the woman beside me; ignoring the brief stares of the extended family.

After about an hour of awkwardness I finally let out a sigh of relief as I watched them all start to get up.

I crossed my legs over and slumped down, I finally looked to the side meeting the eyes of someone.

I shot a glare, rolling my eyes at the familiar face; He stared back at me and obnoxious grin plastered on his face.

"If it isn't traitor cousin; you better watch what you say sunghoon."

"Gosh you never change Julie; that was years ago."

"And you're still friends with that nefarious demon."

"Hey my best friend isn't a demon."
"Plus You scared the whole family with that, litteraly it was like they were seeing a ghost."He laughed light heartedly.

"That's what they get ; kicking me out of to America only gave me three good years to scheme."

"How exciting tell me."

"Yeah Get out Sunghoon."I commanded sternly.

"You know sometimes you scare me."He grinned, slowly making his way out to his parents and sister.

I got up, clutching my hand bag and started my walk to my room in hopes no one else would bother me.

I was surprised to at least meet it how I had left it, the bed looked like it had just been made and my suitcases stood in the corner of the room.

I shut the door behind me entering the room.
