I turn off the call with the new secretary as I was struggling with a ballon for the past three minutes. Shit. Should I just remove the ballon or something.
I just gave up at the fifth time and just remove all of the ballon. I bring out the cake and put a few candles on top of it before lighting it up. I look back on the desk to check on the present.
At the exact time, I could heard a footsteps from outside approaching the room. I rush with a cake on my hand and close all of the source of lights in this room.
The door room opens and I can see his figure coming inside. I was overcome with excitement. This moment had been all I could think about for the past two weeks.
"Happy Birthday!"
He seems totally shocked and confused. I jus laughed. All of my hard work to prepare this surprise party was paid off by his reaction.
"Hani?"
"Happy birthday. Now make a wish and blow off the candles" I bring the cake closer to his face. He follow my instructions and close his eyes before blowing off the candles.
"Wow. That's a shocked"he giggles as he pulls me for a hug.
"Now for the best part"
"The present" I held his hand and made him walk with me to the desk. A small box is waiting for him. We stop near the desk and I reach for the cake back and just sign my head towards the box.
"Open it" I sign at him again as he seems to be cautious.
"For me?"
I nodded with a big smile on my face.
He opens the box slowly. "You don't need to buy stuff-" he stops midway and just stare at me. His mouth is wide open and his eyes widen in shocked.
"Hani. What is this?"
I hold my laughter. "A present?"
"Seriously! Be serious with me. Is this right?" He ask me again.
I took a peek on the box and there is the same stuff that I put in the box. A pregnancy test with a picture of the baby.
"Yeah. I'm serious"
" We are pregnant"
He looks like he will fall to his knees from a weak heart.
"Jihoon?" I wave my hand in front of his face as he looks like he's lost in thoughts.
"What are you thinking about?"
"I just imagine how beautiful our child would be right now."
"Hani. This is the best birthday present in all of my life time" he kiss my forehead.
"I love you" he pulls me for a hug and he took his time to caresses my stomach softly.
"I love you and our little family"
And then he immediately pulls out from me and with the baby picture on his hands, he ran out of the office screaming with joy while bragging it to the others. I can heard the others screaming with him as well.
I just laughed by myself at his behavior and being grateful that we have finally found our happiness. I look down at my still flat stomach, anticipating with the small little life that is currently growing inside me.
"Hani, the others are asking me what names should we give to the baby?"
"I was thinking if it is a girl then how about leora and a boy is junghwan?"
I just laughed. " Sure"
He ran back out to the others while I just slowly following him from behind. As I went outside of the office, my eyes went to the direction of Jeongwoo and not to my surprise my friend, Ji ah is currently trying her best to talk to him while he just ignore her. I call her to help with the birthday surprise but instead she's there to flirt with him. What a good friend.
I shook my head. I walk past them.
"My name is Ji ah. How about you?."
"Then how about I call you mine?"
He stay silence.
"Okey.. Can. You. Talk?" She said one after another words to the man.
"I'm working miss. Can you please move away?"
"Oh.. you can talk" she seems down.
"Okey then. I will leave my phone number here." She bring out her work card and left it there on the desk while he just ignore her, probably tired from her flirting actions for the past hour.
"Make sure to call me"
"Make. Sure. Okey?"
He just ignore her.
I smile. Welcome to the new world young man. She will probably never left you alone from this day. My crazy friend.
I turn around to see Ji ah walking towards me.
"How is it your flirting skills dropping so much?"
"Shut up. It's not about me. It's him. Anyway, I love hot quite grumpy boy. My next target" I just shook my head as she smile at me.
"Crazy"
"Yeah. I'm crazy about man" she just innocently smile.
