to desire

In all struggles,
Desperation always comes.
It destroys people,
It's not always equal.
Your desperation is your desire,
One wrong move and it'll backfire.
People are always eager,
Trying to get what they want though it's as small as a piece of fallen glitter,
Closing people out and locking people in acting like a zipper.
Individuals are clever,
Yet too clever not to reach failure.
Their desperation holds them in a gutter,
One they can't escape.
Smaller than a landscape,
Yet bigger than a portrait.
People could always forfeit,
To stop their never ending orbit.
Though desperation blinds them with the thought,
They will get what they mostly ought,
To desire.
