Ch 1. The Spire Of Order

'Ding Ding' went the train as Tubbo stood up from his seat. He walked to the turnstile, tapping his metro card. On the news, Tubbo had heard of some strange things happening in Inkopolis. Octolings and Inklings seeming in a daze, walking around. Of course, Tubbo worried about his friends. Even Aimsey seemed in a daze, and he hadn't seen Ranboo for some days now. After everything that happened in alterna, it actually struck him that he was part of something bigger. Opening his bag, tubbo nearly jumped out of his seat as he saw his smallfry pop outa his bag.

"Ack! What are you doing here! I told you to stay with Tommy and behave. Guess that's why Tommy texted me if you could fit into small spaces." Tubbo said with a sigh before putting his bag in his lap. Benson, his smallfry, sat next to him. For as much energy Benson had, Tubbo was surprised that it was dozing off. Normally it kept him awake. As the train started to move and Tubbo put his headphones on, he started to feel drowsy. He never really slept unless he was actually tired or with Tommy. He had slept early to, so why was he so drowsy? He didn't even notice as he fell asleep, the glitching. The world around him glitched, before turning to white code.

And then. It was quiet.

"Hey! Hey! Up and at em 8!!" A voice rang. Ranboo opened their eyes, only to be blinded by beige all around. They were hanging out with Tommy and Wilbur before Wilbur left. They fell asleep in Tommy's house, how long ago was that? Where were they? They rubbed their eyes and stood up, looking around for the voice they heard. When they looked forward, they saw a floating drone flying to them. It looked like a little cat.

"Hey! Agent 8, you remember me? It's crumb!!" The little drone said, while Ranboo looked confused. "Please tell me you don't remember me. Kinda makes me sad- here, maybe this may be better." Crumb said as they set a projector on the floor. Being projected was two people. "I'm the box-head, and the other one is my friend, Sneegsnag! You used to call him sneeg- please tell me you at least remember him?" Crumb said as Ranboo recognized it.

"Wait- that's you? But- your a robot. Has AI take over the world now!? I told Tubbo it would happen but he didn't want to believe!" Ranboo said as they looked shocked. Crumb giggled before calming down

"No no, not yet ran, soon though. In all seriousness, I honestly dunno. We were just hanging out and then all of a sudden there's this white- looking code all around us, and we get separated." Crumb said as the drone looked sad. While the drone was sad, Ranboo looked at the holograph of Sneegsnag. As Ranboo thought, a noise was heard at the top of the tower.

"H—lo? C— Yo- He-r M-?" A voice said, and crumb Drone looked up at the tower. There was a glitch before the speaker shut off.

"Sneeg!! We can hear! Don't worry we are coming to help!" Crumb said as the drone looked back at Ranboo. "Come on, we gotta get up there to help Sneeg! You think the elevator in the tower still works?" Crumb asked as Ranboo nodded.

"Yeah, well it should. If the broadcast works then it should work too." Ranboo said as they looked to the tower door. They walked to the door, and the door opened. It almost made Ranboo flinch. It probably would of if they weren't unsettled by everything else that happened. As the duo walked into the Tower, they noticed two black fountains of ink, before it spawned in some small enemy's. "Uhhhh- Crumb- maybe you got something to help with this?" Ranboo said as they hid behind crumb. Crumb thought before a lightbulb appeared over them.

"Okay here, take this! Where it's from I have no clue but just use it!" Crumb said as Duelies appeared in Ranboos hands. Ranboo wouldn't ask, whatever kept them safe. They cleared out the room, and once they finished, a loud 'Ding!' Could be heard from the edge of the room. Ranboo looked to the ding and they could see an elevator. Said elevator was opening. As Ranboo got ready to shoot, and octoling put his hand in the air.
