"What does that mean?" Rex questions nervously.

"Taken away." Hamm simply explains.

"No!"

"Or worse. You could have been lost!" Jessie steps up seeming genuinely concerned but again as soo as she finished Dolly buds in and starts scolding again.

"Y/n you know better than that! You should have stopped-" She begins but I can not keep listening for much longer before I snap.

"No, no, no, guys, listen for a moment, it all ended up just fine!" I try to address the group, trying to calm everyone and myself down.

"Bonnie had a great day in class, and we're going on a road trip." Woody continues, throwing in the road trip to defer the current conversation

"Road trip?" Buzz asks for confirmation.

"Vacation!"

"Yee-haw!"

"Ooooohhhh..."

While everyone is cheering between themselves and each other I look to my side and see Woody already there giving me a questioning look. I agree with a nod, I think it's time.

"But then something really weird thing happened. Bonnie made a friend in class." Woody shuffles back over to the backpack, continuing to explain our child's day.

"What a kid!"

"Oh, she's already making friends."

A couple of the toys gush, proud of Bonnie, but I know they aren't quite understand quite right.

"Arh sort of... it's a bit different though" I try to think of a way to say the friend isn't a person at kindergarten.

"No, no. She literally made a new friend." Woody bends down and lifts the bag's zipper while I bend down too, looking out for Forky "Hey, it's okay. Come on out." Slowly a little red pipe cleaner hand rises which is followed by the spork's face, visibly shaking with fear "That's it. Come on, there you go."

The look on our friends faces was just utter shock and disbelief, I don't blame them, it was very unexpected. Forky seems to hesitate at the sight of everyone staring at him. And Woody continues to usher him out by picking him up and placing him to stand in front of the crowd.

"Everyone, I want to introduce to you Forky." I motion towards the trembling fork with a small smile, hoping that both forky and the guys will not find this too crazy or overwhelming.

A few of the toys quietly gawk at a moving, walking, talking spork which had been crafted into a toy by Bonnie.

"Golly bob howdy!"

"Wow!"

"Look at that!"

One of Forky's eyes started to droop a little and with a gentle touch I push it back up to where Bonnie had first placed it.

"Look how long his arms are!" Rex exclaims excitedly over Forky and it makes me smile to know that they are uncomfortable with who Forky is. It's going to be okay!

"Trash?" The spork's voice quivers out.

"No. No, toys. They're all toys." Woody explains slowly.

"T-t-tooooo..." Forky begins to spell out but again just switches back to what he knows "Trash?"

"No, no, no. That's the trash. These are your friends." Woody remains patient, this may take a while.

"Hi!" Everyone exclaims together, it's just a mumble jumble or speaking and it also give Forky a little scare.
