It is Cady and Y/N Heron's first day at school after being home-schooled, it's very different, it can get overwhelming sometimes, and it gets even more chaotic when you first speak to the one and only Regina George, you instantly knew you liked her.
"So... Gretchen a suspect?" Brian asks, holding a red thumbtack.
"Her hair is full of secrets." I say, thinking.
"What?" Regina asks.
"Nothing. Make her a maybe." I say, and Brian switches his red thumbtack to a green one.
"Have you guys done this together before? Is this, like, a weekly thing?" Regina asks.
"No." Brain and I say at the same time.
"I think I'll question Cady tonight..." I say, and Brian nods. We talk with each other a little more until I realise I've forgotten about Regina.
I turn around to see her looking down at her feet.
"Hey..." I say, walking up to her.
"Hi." I can tell she's not happy. I mean, yeah, obviously.
"What are you thinking about?"
"I'm thinking how I can't be seen with you now." She continues looking at her feet, pressing her left foot into the ground.
I sigh and nod. "I-... Do you want to break up?"
"No, of course not... Please I just-" Regina takes a deep breath.
"Okay... Okay... We can..." I take a deep breath "We can figure something out. What do you need now?"
"I don't know... I don't want to talk about this." Regina wipes her eyes. I hold my arms out, offering a hug. We hug and share a brief kiss before silently agreeing it's time to leave and that maybe what just happened wasn't actually necessary and was just an excuse to use Brian's pin board.
"Thanks, Brian..." I say, putting a hand on his shoulder.
"Sure. I guess you owe me." He adjusts his glasses YES HE HAS GLASSES.
I give him a week and stand by the door, waiting for Regina.
"Benji?" Regina says.
"Brian." Brian corrects.
"I'm sorry... For, like, everything... That wasn't cool what I did."
"Yeah... It wasn't. And, thanks for apologising."
Regina nods awkwardly and swiftly walks out. I give Brian a small smile before following Regina.
