Chapter 12 - Wedding Preparations

Start from the beginning

Surprised by her response, I couldn't help but remark, "You have this habit of running away, don't you?" She looked back with a hint of anger, snapping, "None of your business," before snatching the drink from my hand and leaving. I was left shocked, confused, and a bit raged by her tone.

Leaving the thoughts behind, I found a quiet spot to sit. My gaze lingered on Tiara as she danced gracefully with Shruti, her movements captivating. Despite my efforts to ignore it, I couldn't deny the attraction I felt towards her, leaving me conflicted and unsure of my own feelings. Her silk black dress, adding to her beauty. In that moment, I made a decision; I couldn't stay here any longer. So, i approached Dhruv, informing him of my departure. I drove back home, no one was home yet. I went to my room and got to do that one thing that serves me peace; Sleep.

As the morning light peeked through the curtains, I was reluctantly greeted another day filled with the chaotic hustle and bustle of wedding preparations. It's the downside of weddings, I suppose. Everyone seems to have a never-ending list of demands: "Akshit, bring the flowers. Akshit, bring the sweets. Akshit, fetch this, fetch that." And to top it off, I have to make a trip to Nitya bhabi's house for some more wedding arrangements.

To add to my frustration, Aarav, the duffer, was supposed to assist me, but instead, he's off flirting with Nitya bhabi's friends. As if I didn't have enough on my plate already. Amidst this chaos, Shruti all of a sudden, out of nowhere, drops her demand: there will be some dancing at the upcoming functions especially Sangeet, and everyone is expected to participate. No excuses. When aarav asked about the choreographer, Shruti, without thinking for a second, appoints Tiara as the choreographer without even considering her opinion.

I couldn't help but notice the look of reluctance on Tiara's face as she protested, "No, no, I can't. Why me? Nooo." Her refusal suddenly brought back memories of her mesmerizing dance performance, How breathtaking it was. And I swiftly questioned myself, why that memory is still lingering. Ugh, what's wrong with me?

Before I could delve further into my thoughts, Shruti insisted, "No, it has to be you. You dance so well; you must do this." Tiara continued to resist until Maa intervened, "Beta, Since it's happening anyway, you only become their choreographer. There's no time to find someone else this quick, and Nitya will also be pleased." Suggesting Tiara take on the role of choreographer since there wasn't enough time to find someone else. The mention of Nitya's happiness seemed to sway Tiara, and she reluctantly agreed, "Okay, aunty, I will definitely give it a shot."

Hearing Tiara's "Yes", Shruti, did a little happy dance before skipping off to her room.

Tiara's Pov

I found myself seated in my room, grappling with the daunting task of choreographing for everyone. The weight of the responsibility felt overwhelming as I pondered how to manage it all. Amidst the chaos of my thoughts, memories of recent events, particularly those involving Akshit, flooded my mind. The image of his burnt shirt, the day he saw me dancing, flashed before me, a stark reminder of the situations we went through.

Just as I was lost in this mental maze, Shruti disrupted my thoughts, abruptly pulling me out of my daydream. "I'll choose the songs, okay? You focus on how to make them dance," she declared with authority. I couldn't help but raise an eyebrow at her sudden change in plans. "Why?" I questioned, "First, you make me the choreographer, and now you want to pick the songs too?"

Shruti responded with her playful tone, "Fine, fine, let's choose together, alright?", I playfully remarked, "ya ya now you doing charity on me." We shared a brief moment of sharing teas, but soon, she said, I also have to inform nitya bhabi.

As she was saying this, Akshit and Aarav passed by, Shruti seized the opportunity to halt them, urging both Akshit and Aarav to join the dance. Akshit being akshit, flatly refused, stating, "No, I won't be doing that." Shruti persisted, demanding a reason, to which Akshit simply replied, "I don't know, I just won't." Meanwhile, Aarav, chimed in, "Okayyy, I'm ready, and I even know how to dance." Listening this, I suggested, "Okay Aarav, why don't you join me? We can choreograph together and dance as a pair." However, before we could proceed, Akshit interjected with a firm "NO." Aarav responded with a subtle smile directed at Akshit, prompting him to question, "Why are you laughing?, as if you know how to dance, Don't lie." Aarav, teasingly, retorted, "What's with you? Of course, I know how to dance. Did you ever see me? You're too busy ogling at someone else." Akshit shot Aarav a disapproving glare, muttering curses under his breath, a habitual reaction.
