Wolves and Emeralds

She passes out.

"Kim. Kim!" Garroth looks over at her.

"I think we all need a moment to recollect ourselves after that." Aaron sounds shaken.

"Yeah, let's make sure the doors are locked." I say.

Lucinda and Aaron leave, I turn back to Garroth.

Garroth keeps repeating Kim's name, trying to shake her awake.

"Garroth, that's not going to help, let's get her to the couch." I say firmly.

"Right...right." Garroth mutters.

Garroth easily picks Kim up and places her gently on the couch.

"So are you going to tell me what that was all about?" I ask, "do you mean that the girl used forever potions?"

"Yes, I could feel the magic" Es tells me, "It's almost settled in permanently, she's had it in her body for a long time now."

"I'm not sure what effects the potion has on her though, be careful, she may have skills that aren't a regular humans."

Lucinda and Aaron walk back into the room.

"How's Kim doing?" Lucinda asks.

"I uh think she's fine? I've been poking her to see if she wakes up." Garroth responds.

"What's that gonna do?" Lucinda asks again.

"Wake her up. I don't know! Why are you yelling at me?" Garroth says.

"I'm just-! Sorry, I'm just..." Lucinda sighs, "kinda shaken up after the whole wolf thing. Aaron, are you sure the doors are locked?"

"I'll check again." Aaron walks over to the doors.

"Kim, wake up! Oh Kim! Kim! Kim! Kim! Oh Kimmy Kim!" Garroth keeps on poking her.

"The doors are locked tight." Aaron reports.

"Well, that's good." Lucinda says.

"Kim's coming round." I say.

Aaron and Lucinda come to check on her.

"What happened?" Kim asks.

"Wolves." I say.

"Gah! I forgot!" Kim squeaks.

"Oh Kim, don't worry! It's perfectly fine! The doors are shut sound and we're safe!" Garroth reassures her.

"Is that true, Lucinda, Kiara?" Kim asks.

"Hey!" Garroth says offended.

"I'm sorry, Garroth. But, Lucinda and Kiara seem to know what their dealing with."

"Ahem!" Aaron cuts in.

"Oh! And you too, Aaron! It's just, well, Lucinda, you seem to know a lot about weird, other worldly stuff." Kim rambles, "and Kiara, didn't you get a job studying magic and witchcraft?"

"Yeah, I did." I mumble.

"Most of the knowledge I taught you though." Es says smugly.

"I know, no need to brag." I grumble.

"Well, you're not wrong. I do know a lot. And from what I know, we're perfectly fine!" Lucinda says, in a false happy voice to reassure Kim.

"Really!?" Kim asks, much more calm than before.

"Really! I'm sure one of us left the door open." Lucinda promises.

"Phew! That's a relief to hear!" Kim seems much more upbeat now.
