The book focuses on Jenna Ortega and her best friend's roommate Dahlia going onto a trip to Hawaii with Jenna's toxic family.
The book was really enjoyable and imagining the different scenes was really easy. Dahlia's character did really show great development in standing up for not only herself but also for Jenna against her well-written mother. Especially the idea of the story focusing on a trip made way for creative ways for Dahlia and Jenna to bond, wich even the side charcters helped with.
