28 - blurted

Depuis le début

he wasn't angry, he was horrified, horrified that she would ever think that of him. theo had been head over heels for as long as he could remember, and that wasn't going to change anytime soon.

"i've never been in a relationship before, i wasn't sure of the pace, especially because this is supposed to be a secret."

"i told hermione" jules blurted out again, she couldn't seem to stop herself, "i asked her for advice about this. i was overthinking everything, and really worried that i'd put you off somehow."

"there isn't a thing on this earth that could put me off you, you're the most beautiful girl i've ever layed eyes on. i don't mind you've told anyone, and i'm sorry i made you feel that way. i didn't mean to. do you want to take things further?"

in typical juliet fashion, she once again blurted out her answer, "yes, of course i do theo. i really like you, and this has been killing me. not being able to kiss you, or label anything, it's been torture."

theo smirked, as she had expected, letting the comments shoot straight to his ego, "trust me, this has been torture for me too. i really meant what i said the other day: that it's taken all my willpower not kiss you everytime i see you."

"so why haven't you?" jules teased, at least she hoped it came out that way, and not horribly insulting.

"you'd like me to do that?" it seemed theo had got the message loud and clear, subtly walking jules back against the wall. she hadn't noticed, eyes fixated on theo, until she felt her back touch the cold stone. the two were incredibly close now, and jules had hold herself back from gulping a little at theo's expression. zach had never, ever made her feel this way before.

all she could muster out was a quiet "uh huh" before their lips met.

pure bliss. their interconnectedness thwarted only for a mere second for the need for air, before their lips once again met in a frenzied passion. his skin was hot as her hands delicately traveled along his face, down his collarbone and onto his chest, before finally grasping tightly onto his defined biceps. the thought alone had jules giddy, theo's devotion to quidditch clearly paying off as he manhandled her with ease, lifting her up so her legs wrapped around his waist.

"we cant do this here, teddy." jules giggled, lips missing the warmth from his.

"yes here," was all he replied with before kissing her again. jules really had to stop herself now, because soon she wouldn't be able to resist the temptation much longer.

"no, theo, we need to stop." he quickly put her down, taking a step back in fright that he'd pushed her too far.

"letty, i'm so sorry, i didn't mean for it to happen like this." the roles reversed, theo now speaking with an anxious tenor.

"i didn't mean it like that, teddy," jules could not take her eyes off the boy in front of her, he looked so beautiful with lips slightly swollen and the lustful gaze still slightly present in his eyes, "i just don't think i would have been able to stop myself, and i am not having our first shag on the astronomy tower."

theo simply just pushed the stray hair on her face behind her ears, as they both looked at each other in silence, before pressing a lingering kiss on her forehead.

the pair had ended up on the floor, jules sat in between theo's legs, her head resting against his back, as they both sat in the comfortable silence, simply staring up at the clear sky.

jules was the first to break the silence, "you don't think we're rushing into things?"

"romeo and juliet did it all in five days" his tone, as usual, was a little jokey— but he could hear the apprehension in jules' voice, hoping his lightheartedness would ease her worries.

"it's also a fictional play from 1600s italy" was all she replies with, not revealing too much of her feelings regarding the matter.

"same concept, the heart does what the heart wants, i just follow it"

"so cringe teddy, but i like it."

"like it enough that you'd be my girlfriend?" the way he asked was so casual, but he was shitting bricks on the inside.

jules already knew her answer, as if she could ever say no to the theodore nott. "about bloody time you asked, of course i will."

"good, it'd be really awkward for me if you didn't." jules didn't grant him a verbal response, instead tilting her head back (at what she was sure was an incredibly unflattering angle), allowing theo to press a gentle peck on her forehead, both staring deeply into the other's eyes— their silence speaking volumes.
