rolling out of bed, savannah headed down the stairs right behind seth. for once they'd both woken up at a decent hour. but as they reached the bottom of the stairs, the two were confused to see ryan sleeping on the couch.

"hey, what's up man what happen to you, lady kick you to the curb?" seth mockingly questioned, tapping the blonde awake.

savannah just stood silently behind him with her arms crossed. she hadn't spoken much to ryan since their fight, and she really felt no desire to. she was truly done with him, at least that's what she'd told herself.

ryan groaned, rubbing his eyes, "pool house was occupied, your aunt."

"aunt hailey's here?" savannah squinted in annoyance.

"yeah she—" he began before savannah interjected with a sarcastic, "awesome," and retreated to the kitchen.

sandy and kirsten were sat at the table having breakfast and doing crossword puzzles as the cohen siblings entered the room. "alright nine across, seven letter word for-"

"whoa, separate seats? you guys, come on. there's no sex in the champagne room." seth dryly remarked.

"good morning to you too." kirsten grinned at his wry comment. "morning, where's hailey?" savannah asked casually, pulling a carton of milk out of the fridge.

"i don't know, thailand, morocco?" kirsten guessed, clearly unaware of her sister's presence in newport.

"i think she's planting trees in tacoma." sandy remembered. "ah, costa rica, building churches." she assumed next, while her husband corrected, "i think that was panama, and they were hospitals."

"she's in the pool house." savannah bluntly revealed, earning surprised glares from her parents.

"what're you talking about?" kirsten's eyes widened in shock. "did you not notice ryan sleeping on the couch?" seth questioned just as the atwood boy sluggishly entered.

"your sister's here." ryan announced mid-yawn.

kirsten shot up from her seat with immediate panic, "w-w-w wait wait wait you-you saw her? you were talking to her? or uh... did she say why she was here?"

"i have two guesses, either she's run out of money, or she's run outta money." sandy chuckled.

"three letter word for hilarious, dad!" seth pointed, adhering to his crossword puzzle, "write that down."

"she is probably out of money, though." savannah assumed. kirsten rested a hand on her forehead, "hailey's here." she nervously chuckled.
