"look, uncle trav!" his eldest niece shouted, running into his arms with a poster in hand. "isn't she so pretty? daddy said maybe i could go see her in concert!"
travis laughed, he found it adorable his little niece was so obsessed with taylor swift.
"she is very pretty, kiddo," travis had to admit, the blonde was stunning. "maybe i can help your daddy out with some tickets, hm?"
"yes, oh yes please! pretty please!" the tiny girl shouted. her eyes lighting up at the thought of being able to see her favorite pop star live, and her uncle's at the thought of being able to potentially shoot his shot with the one and only taylor swift.

"someone has a crush," tree smirked.
taylor rolled her eyes, "i do not."
"this football player reached out to me asking if there was any way i could possibly meet his cute little niece in kansas," taylor smiled. "look at how adorable she is, tree!"
"mmhm," tree nodded along. "and he's very handsome too. doesn't he play for the kansas city chiefs?"
taylor shrugged. "probably. let's check."
as taylor did a little bit of research she began agreeing with tree, he was quite handsome. the last thing on her mind was being in a relationship, especially after her breakup with joe, but having an innocent crush never hurt anyone.
"so are you meeting his niece?" tree interrupted taylor's train of thought. "that way i can see what we can do for him."
"yes," taylor looked up from her iphone. "i'll let him know."
"how did he even get your number?" tree questioned.
taylor blushed, "we have mutual friends."
June 20th 2023
the past couple of days had been exhausting for the blonde. although she adored touring, she was completely exhausted. as she made herself comfortable in her bed, she checked her phone, a habit she had developed since the handsome football player reached out.
travis: i hope you had an amazing show. i bet you killed it. 🩷
taylor: hi, im just getting into bed. it was a great show, thank you.
travis: so, i was thinking that meeting for the first time with my niece might be awkward, don't you think?
travis: why don't we go out for dinner sometime this week?
taylor blushed. god what was this man doing to her?
she checked her calendar before responding to the football player, blushing as she thought about being taken out. wether he considered this a date or not, she was enthusiastic about going out for dinner with someone other than her tour crew.
June 29th 2023
travis checked himself in the mirror for the millionth time. he was nervous he had to admit. he had just gotten out of a somewhat serious relationship and taking another girl out on a date was terrifying. he grabbed his keys and his phone before heading out and inputting the address on his iphone. taylor was currently in cincinnati, ohio due to her tour, so travis flew in from kansas city to take the singer out. he did his research days prior and had made a reservation at a small family owned restaurant next to a boardwalk.
arriving at his destination, travis knocked on taylor's hotel room door, roses in hand.
"hey," taylor greeted, her sweet and musky scent engulfing travis. "thank you, travis. you didn't have to."
travis laughed, "you deserve 'em."
as taylor walked back into her hotel suite to place the roses in water, travis couldn't help but notice how good she looked in her black dress and her louboutin boots.
"okay, i'm ready," taylor smiled.
"awesome," travis grinned back. "you look amazing by the way."
taylor blushed, and travis reaching for his hand made her absolutely melt.
"so, how was your flight?" travis asked, making his way towards his rental.
"it was okay. i slept through it all," taylor giggled.
travis opened the door for the blonde and made his way into the drivers seat of the car.
"that's good. i'm glad you're well rested for our date then," travis smirked, earning a playful slap from the blonde. "i gotta be honest with you, tay, i've never been to this restaurant, but it looks very good."
taylor smiled, "that's okay, we'll try it together."
as the night went on, taylor realized how much of a true gentleman travis was. he opened all her doors, pulled out all her chairs, poured her the wine, but most importantly he allowed her to be at ease. he wasnt worried about fans showing up and ruining their date, or someone taking a photo of them to sell it for however much they could possibly make. he was present and focused on her and her surroundings, not on everyone else, and taylor loved that. after dinner, which was fantastic, travis led her to the boardwalk.
"here," travis placed his coat on taylor's shoulders. "you're freezing, tay. do you want to go back to the hotel?"
taylor shook her head, "no. it's beautiful out here."
"it is," travis admitted, pulling the blonde closer in an attempt to warm her up. "look, they're drawing people. let's go get our portrait drawn."
taylor laughed at how spontaneous the football player was. he led her towards the young man who was sharpening a pencil.
"hey bud, will you draw a portrait of us?" travis eagerly beamed like a child.
the young man smiled, "for sure. it'll be $35."
travis pulled out his wallet and handed the young man a $50 bill and told him to keep the change, taylor practically melted. she was starting to love being around travis. she had gotten so used to being the provider in the relationship that she failed to realize how such small gestures turned her on. as the pair stayed in position, waiting for the young man to finish their portrait, travis pressed a kiss on taylor's nose.
"your nose is red," travis giggled.
"it's cold!" taylor defended herself.
"it's cute," travis shrugged. "you look super cute right now. i just want to shower you with kisses, may i?"
taylor giggled. "let the young man finish our portrait!"

as travis drove taylor back to her hotel room, taylor couldn't stop thinking about their night. she had an incredible night with not a single worry on her mind.
"what's going on in that beautiful mind of yours?" travis piped up, giving her thigh a gentle squeeze.
"i had a really good time, trav," taylor admitted. "thank you."
travis smiled. he parked his car outside the hotel and leaned over to kiss taylor. "may i?"
taylor nodded her head and leaned into his touch. the kiss was magical. as he got off and opened the door for her, she couldn't help but feel like a teenager in love. she grabbed onto his bicep and leaned into his shoulder.
"have a goodnight, beautiful," travis kissed taylor once again, dropping her off at her hotel suite. "i'll see you in two days."
"i can't wait," taylor smiled. "text me when you get to your airbnb."
travis nodded his head before stealing one last kiss from the blonde and walking away. god, was she breathtaking.
