Hello,Bye.

I watched her dance with him,
Glide in his arms,
Smile at his jokes while I stood there,
Painfully
Watching
Listening
I can't take it anymore.
"Hey girl you seem to be having a lot of fun but I kind of need you in the bathroom a little " she spoke to me, breaking me out of my trance
"I'd be back in a bit" she yelled over the club music at the human she calls her boyfriend.

In the bathroom with thankfully no one around I did it.
I did what I've been dying to do,
Dying  to have
Her lips ,
I kissed it,
Had a taste
Was going great, until it wasn't.
But there was a yank that snatched the moment from me.
"Rebecca are you okay, what was that" she laughed
Oh Candace
I wish you'd stop taking it a joke
"Just the alcohol I believe" then she laughed it off and together we left the bathroom after I got her dress fixed.

We danced, her man was there but she was the only one in the world to me.
The club noise
The people laughing
All
All of it was deafened by her laughter.
I yearn for her
It doesn't matter what I do that she laughs at,
If she laughs for me and me alone I'm good.
Others are privileged to listen to that melody but it belongs to me
And me alone.
If only she'll let me own it

Then it all crashed.
Everything ,
Her pulling away from me to dance with him would never hurt as much as this did

Her man reaching for my waist while we danced won't hurt as much as this did

She deserved better
She deserved to be proposed to at the beach, the Eiffel Tower, some where else
Not a grand club with everyone watching and screaming say yes say yes

I'd kill everyone
I'd kill everyone
But after her response, it's me I'd kill

She said yes

I watched as she jumped in his arms
Kissed his lips without pulling back and I watched
We watched
But I watched more
Me and rebby
Does she even remember that name?
She gave it to me in kindergarten cause she couldn't remember my name.
I laughed as tears streamed down my face.

"Rebecca!!! I'm getting married she screamed"

Not me to though

I smiled and hugged her.

If only she knew it was the last time

I walked away for good the time. Leaving the club and the life I knew behind.
Not the walk away I do when they screw
Or the walk away when they kiss
Not even the walk away when they make future plans that wouldn't involve me
The walk away that would actually leave me out of the future for good.

Good bye Candace I hope he was worth it

I jumped.
If only she found out he wasn't before it was too late, before she lost me,
If only I knew she realized I was worth it
If only I knew she would miss me forever
A forever we could have shared if I  stayed
But I didn't,

Good bye Candace.
