Chapter Twenty Nine
Everything went black. I was drowning. And I couldn't do anything, I guess it's the end. I felt myself being pulled. But I couldn't see anything maybe I was just imagining things.
Too bad It has to end like this. I wasn't even able to say goodbye to my parents, and Aiden. Of course I love him, And I still do. Even though it was clear to me that all those times, he was just playing with me. How cruel life can be.
And then I felt the cold air. Someone's yelling but I couldn't understand what she's saying. Where am I ? I thought I was underwater. Why am I hearing voices? Maybe these were just inside my head. I wanted to open my eyes but hard as I try, I couldn't. I felt my lungs burn from the water I've inhaled.
"I told you to bring her to me! Not kill her! although I want her dead, I'll be the one to do it. Not you!" The same voice shouted. She wanted someone dead? wait, maybe it was me she wantd dead. But who is she and why? And I realized I wasn't in the water anymore. Someone laid me on my back. I coughed. My lungs still burning with pain.
"She's still alive." Someone said. this time, it was a male.
"Good. Now let's go, carry her."
And Someone lifted me. Who are they? Why did they wanted me dead? I couldn't remember anyone who's mad at me that will want me killed. My mind's too tired to think and I couldn't feel anything. And I drifted off to sleep even though I didn't want to.
AIden's POV
"I didn't found her!" I shouted and slammed my fist on the wall.
It was all my fault. I shouldn't have let that Sheena talk to me. She said she'll say something important and before I realized, she kissed me already and Brianna came. It was all a misunderstanding. She ran away and after about half an hour of searching for her, I heard a howling sound. It was her. I ran towards the sound. And found her scent. It led me to a cliff. And her scent disappeared. But why? Did she... fell? NO. It can't be.
I ran as fast as I could to the pack house to call for help. We went down the cliff but no trace of her. What have I done?!
"Aiden, it's been hours. You need to rest. We'll continue finding her tomorrow." My father said.
"No. I can't leave. Not until I find her!"
"Please. We'll find her soon. "
As soon as we got back to the pack house, I received a phone call.
"Hello?"
"Aiden..."
"Brianna? Is that you? What happened?? where are you? I'm really sor-"
"Aiden. I'm sorry but please, don't bother me again. I'm- i'm fine and.... and you can be with her. You know, be with... sheena. I don't care. goodbye." She said. Wait, what???
"Brianna, Brianna, wait!" But too late, she already hung up. I dialed the number again but she wasn't answering.
Did she just rejected me?! It was my fault, I know but why she couldn't listen to me first? I didn't mean what happened. It was all because of Sheena. I shouldn't have talked to her in the first place.
"What happened?" My beta asked and they all looked worried.
"She rejected me. She saw Sheena kissing me. It was all a misunderstanding. She called and now she won't pick up the phone."
“Can someone please track, where she is?” I asked. My beta took the phone with him and told us he’ll be right back.
I was pacing back and forth. Why did she rejected me? How could she?
After a while, her parents came, both looking worried.
“What happened, Aiden?” Her mother asked.
“She went away. She rejected me. It was a misunderstanding. “ I explained.
“Alpha, here’s the address. “ my Beta said and I quickly grabbed the piece of paper.
“Let’s go.” I said and hurried to my car and drove as fast as I could. It took us about half an hour before we reached the address. I stepped outside of my car and looked around. It was an old house. What is she doing here? And I noticed a red car parked outside. And I remembered it was Sheena’s.
“What is she doing with Sheena?”
Then it hit me. It was all Sheena's plan. She has my mate. Yes. She planned everything! NO, I won't let her hurt my mate. I knew it, Brianna can't reject me.
I ran towards the house, the door was locked so I kicked it and the door fell.
"Brianna!" I shouted.
I looked around and there she was, lying on the floor, motionless and she her arms and feet were tied, her mouth was covered.
Brianna.." I whispered as I gently cupped her face in my hands and removed the cover over her mouth. A sound escaped from her lips.
"I see you've already found her. Good to see you, Aiden. I missed you already." I turned around.
"Sheena" I said.
