1987 NASCAR Busch Grand National Series
Notable What if and Point of Divergence: As mentioned in the Cup Portion, Tim Richmond never catches Double Pneumonia and later AIDS.
Notable Silly Season Changes:
Larry Pearson enters the season as the defending champion.
Jimmy Hensley moves over to the #5 for 2x Champion Sam Ard, who is now an Owner.
Brett Bodine returns in the #00 for Howard Thomas. He will also be making some Cup starts for Hoss Ellington's #1 and hopefully to go Cup racing Full-Time.
ASA driver Mark Martin starts Full-Time driving the #31 for Lawmaster Racing and is looking prepared for a Full-Time opportunity in the Cup Series in 1988.
Mike Alexander enters the series Full-Time for his own team in the #84 after running for several teams in the Cup Series from 1980 to 1985.
Dale Jarrett (son of 2x Cup Series Champion Ned Jarrett) returns driving in the #32 for Isenhower Racing. He will also be making Cup starts this season and prepare for Full-Time next season.
A young driver named Rob Moroso will enter the series Full-Time with his father's team in the #25 for Moroso Racing. Is he a future prospect? Only time will tell.
