When I went home, both Berners from the Center were there. "What's going on, Mom?", I asked. "I've decided that we are totally capable of having two dogs", said Mom. I looked at her funny.
That's started the whole cycle again. After a few days of getting used to two dogs, Mom took in Orpheus. A few days after that, Mom took I Hades. I don't know why she did this, because it was only reversing after that.
Mom discovered it would be too hard after a day, so she booted out Orpheus and Hades. But then things got even more interesting. Let's just say, Alpine started fighting with Everest for no apparent reason. Due to that, Mom sent Alpine down the same path.
So, now Everest was the only dog at my house. That was thankfully official. Or at least I hoped it was. I was afraid that it might happen again.
