DINNER TIME!!
As the maid ring the bell
The childrens run into the dining table along with their parents, walking behind them
All with chatterings and smiles, enjoying the day, some are still in the garden playing with the cats and dogs outside
Everything seems normal, it might look like a family reunion but it's not, still this a special occasion for the Whitlock Family
Shin, and his wife rose came along with a smile on their faces as they were about to reveal the good news, right on the day sheila, shin's mother's 55th birthday she's gon'na have a grandchild that will replace her late grand daughter that just died 2 years ago at the age of seven
When the couple was about to sit and talk, the doorbell ring and they were all confused who that was since that person was very late
Mika, One of the maid rush to the door with excitement as she expect to see her old friend that was once part of the family
But this lady was never kicked out of the family she was still a part of them until today...
Even if she left with no contacts for over 2 years and didn't had a proper goodbye for this family and even if she's divorced with Shin Whitlock
She was still a Whitlock
Mika opens the door and as expected, quirino didn't let her down and after seeing each other they hug tight and both walk into the hallway whike chat a little up to the stairs making their way to the dining room
As all people were still in confusion, they arrived at the dining area, sheila and her husband shawn were shock to see the daughter they missed after leaving the mansion for over 2 years after's sumire's death
Quirino run into them and both gave them a big huge hug, as tear fell into their cheeks
“Mom!! Dad!! I missed you!”
Quirino said
“Our princess, we've missed you more!”
Shawn replied
Everyone was still in shock but soon joined the family hug, one by one along with the maids
“Why is she still calling them "mom and dad", they weren't her parents, even if they use to be”
Rose outspoken while not knowing that quirino was already a part of their family even when she's still not married to shin
“Wow, this was really a good surprise quirino”
Said shin
“Haha, did you miss me??”
Kirino chuckles
“Yes shin, aren't you happy?, why don't you join our group hug??”
Shawn replied
“Nah, I'm good, but you know what is the really big surprise?”
Shin happily said
“what is that?”
Sheila ask
“Sit down and see mom!”
Rose said with a calm voice
As they all sat in confusion and excitement shin move his chair closer to rose and happily said
“We're pregnant!!”
Shin's parents eyes widded when they heard the news
“Wow, that was a great blessing from God and a gift for both of you”
Sheila whimpered
“You're really making this day count for me” she added
Everyone claps and congratualte both of them
“So, how long have you been keeping this from us huh?”
Shawn chuckled
“Oh, we just found out that I've been 2 months pregnant that's why I am feeling down the weather for the past few weeks”
Rose replied
Quirino join the chattering and said Congratulations!! Ofcourse she was delighted to hear the news but something was bothering her
After they are all done eating the maids clean the table for their turn to have their meal
In the living room family members approach rose and asking a bunch of question about the baby
“When did you start to feel that you're with child”
“What do you think is her gender?”
“What would you name it”
“It's name should be after our ancestors”
“How would you discipline her in the future?”
A lot of exciting questions
Quirino saw the maids are still washing the dishes in the kitchen “but they should have their meal by now”
Rose heard kirino and peak at the dining room, so she volunteered helping them to speed up the chores
Quirino was concerned and she told rose that she should just get some rest, but rose give quirino a grin and walked into the kitchen
“I would be fine”
Rose excuse herself
Kirino had no choice but to follow her and said “I'll help”
Rose smiled a quirino and they started to help the maids, once they are almost finished quirino told the maids to take their break because they already can finished the last chores
The maids agreed and thank both of them
While quirino and rose are wiping the plates to dry, she sneak a word “rose...?”
She whispered
“Yes?”
“Why?”
“What do you mean why?”
“Why did you married him?”
“And why not?”
Rose chuckled confusely
“You weren't afraid of what happened to your sister?”
“My sister?, she died from a disease, and she didn't got that from him so..?”
“you did really think she just died from a deadly disease?”
“What else could be the reason?”
Quirino grabbed rose in the wrist and said
“Listen!!, you know what happened to his last wives after me, and you're still in the right mind to marry him?”
“Are you out of your mind?!!”
“Do you think I have a choice??, I'm taking advantage of this marriage to find out what really happened to my sisters days in this mansion so if you wanted to get me out of here, stop trying because I'll spend my last breath right here...”
Quirino let go of her wrist and said
“I barely survived this mansion by having a child with him, either those who can't give him children, if this is what you need, I'll let you”
“hmm!!” rose grinned
“Do you really think you survived already??”
Rose asked quirino while putting down the plate on the desktop and look at her eye to eye
“what do you mean??”
