"Guests?"

Beakley didn't answer. She just shut the door to the dining hall as she entered, leaving you alone in the hall. You turned curiously to the front door as the screech of tires alerted you of Scrooge's return. You shrugged, deciding not to bother any important businessmen with your presence (though that was mainly because you didn't want to speak with them), and began to walk up the stairs towards your study under the assumption that either Webby or Beakley would bring up the abandoned books.

However, as you reached the first platform of the stairs, the door was thrown open behind you.

You yelped in surprise, spinning on your heel to see what had Scrooge in such a fit that he would slam the door open with such force. You knew that meeting with the board wasn't any fun, but it didn't justify storming around the house!

"What on earth is-"

You nearly slipped down the stairs, but caught yourself on the railing as you looked down at the foyer. Scrooge, your oldest friend, was stomping across the hall with his cane in hand while three ducks rushed in behind him.

Three children. Triplets. Dressed in red, blue, and green.

Shock locked you in place. Your eyes turned to saucers as the children stopped in the middle of the foyer, pointing wildly at everything that caught their attention. They gestured to knight statues, the grand fireplace, the enormous painting of Scrooge that hung above it, before finally their attention landed on you, one by one.

Huey was the first one to see you. He sucked in a sharp breath as his attention became laser focused on you, his beak falling open as he shoved his nearest brother, Louie. He turned to you too before smacking Dewey, whose attention was still all over the place, and telling him to look.

Beats of silence passed as you stared down at the boys. Your throat was dry, but you were too stunned to swallow. Your breath was hitched and showed no signs of regulating. The manor faded away as you stared at the Duck triplets standing below you.

This was the moment. The day you'd been waiting for since Della had gone to the moon. The beginning of the series you once loved in your world, now stood before you in all of their glory: Huey, Louie, and Dewey waited for you to make the first move. You thought you would say something more impressive on the day that you'd dreamed about for so long, but instead only a simple question fell from your lips.

"Boys?"

It was as if a trigger had been pulled. In an instant the three of them were running at you, hurtling up the stairs and throwing themselves all around you as they jumped and yelled a million questions over each other.

"Are you really a human?"

"Are you actually Uncle Donald's aunt?"

"Does that mean you're our aunt?"

"Is it true that you're a bazillion years old?"

"How did you get to Duckburg?"

"Can you tell us about your adventures?"

"Beakley!"

The single word silenced the lot of them. Scrooge was standing at the base of the stairs, tapping his cane impatiently as he stared up at the herd of boys piling on top of you. They stopped pulling at your hands and legs as they looked down at their uncle. That was when you fell to your knees.

"Boys." You repeated mindlessly. The three turned to you with their enormous blue eyes wide as you thoughtlessly embraced them, holding them to your chest as tears pricked your eyes. "Boys, you- you're really here-"
