genesis was laying comfortably in bed petting the head of her beautiful ragdoll kitty, luna. she finally had a day off and she made use of it by staying in her room all day binging bridgerton.
she heard her phone buzz and glanced around trying to find it before lifting up the side of her blanket to grab it. the contact that the message came from put a giddy smile on her face.

genesis exits out of the messaging app to go to her camera making sure she looked presentable before clicking the facetime icon.
the last couple of weeks have been going so well between them, she honestly couldn't believe how much progress they'd made in such a short amount of time. granted, genesis got attached very easily it was just the type of person she was which was contradictory with carmy's character since there were times he seemingly pushed her away or held out on telling her things.
but, genesis was patient. she knew how important the restaurant was to him so, she tried not to take it personally when he wouldn't text her back within a reasonable time frame or
and because genesis really liked carmy, like really liked him she was still trying to break down his walls and make it work.
"hey, is everything okay?" is the first thing she asks once his face pops up on her screen.
carmy nods his head, "yeah, everything's fine." he says, refusing to expand. he didn't want to bore her with the details. "it's good seeing your face. how has your day been? you look comfy."
genesis smiles nodding her head and lifting up junie to be in the frame. "today has been great. i did some reading and watched a lot of tv." she raises an eyebrow catching his face change and her mouth dramatically drops. "don't tell me...oh my god, you're a cat hater!"
"that's not true." he quickly defends with a laugh, "i'm just not...the biggest fan but yours is cute, i guess."
"you guess?!"
carmen snorted at her outburst and placed his hand on his chest. "you know what, i'm sorry i didn't mean it. okay? i'm sure, uh,"
"luna." she finishes placing a kiss to her fluffy head.
"luna. i'm sure, she's a sweet cat. i'd love to meet her one day and apologize."
genesis flashes a satisfied smile. "good because she needs a daddy." she innocently teased, nuzzling her cheek against her.
