Man what has the world turned into..
I mean as a race we are failing! We are humans. We are meant to support each other. So how come freedom of speech basically doesn't exist anymore, how come people are so homophobic and racist that whole ass movements and campaigns have had to happen!
Why is the human race turning against itself constantly! No one supports anyone these days. You'd have thought after WW2 we'd have stopped. But noooo we just can't all get along. Because the human race is savage. We have all this anger and we blame it on anything we possibly can. We let it out and say "well ___ made it happen." No, you made it happen. I understand anger is natural for humans. But is it natural to such an extent that peace is starting to fade? Is it still possible for the world to be happy?
Everything that people like Martin Luther King did is just being thrown away now. What is the point is asking for equality if it won't happen. The world is stubborn. We're quick to judge others, but really we're no better ourselves.
Judge him because he's fat and nerdy, laugh it up why not? Judge them because their skin isn't like yours, why not?
I'll tell you why not. It's damn disgusting and rude and honestly if that's what it means to be human now, then you can see why numbers drop and statistics rise. You can see why the pain is engrained into people's brain. You can see the reason trauma is so heavily common. You can see why therapists are so needed. You can see it all!
If only people opened their eyes to it all. If only it wasn't so hard for people to do what they were always going to do. Sit down and talk!! If only people could learn to compliment! Instead we have the media pointing fingers, the press invading celebrities private lives, races fighting, countries attacking.
Do you not realise this is bigger than "oh two countries are fighting". They are still human! This isn't a war of countries. It's a war of the human race. It's a civil war. We're gonna lose something either way.
SO STAND ON THE OTHER SIDE! IF WHERE I STAND IS WHERE I FALL (Thanks 12th Doctor) then this is where I will fall. I will fall asking.. begging for peace on this oh so doomed world. I am not much a fighter in that sense. But I will fight for my friends. I will fight for anyone I loved. And I will fight for peace. So should you!
What good will being an asshole do? What good will making people cry do? What good will it do to make people hate themselves, cut themselves, starve themselves... what good does any of it do!
War and hatred is easy. Nothing worth having comes easy. I ask you to stand with peace. To live and love easily. To help others. I ask you, please, to do the right thing.
