"We've been together after I ended things with Talia." The Artist disclosed. "I didn't find out she was dead after I got back from touring. What hurts me more was she only a month pregnant at the time. I loved her with all my might."

Jalisa was going to say something, but The Artist left the studio given that he was becoming emotional. She hadn't seen him all day until later in the evening. The two sat in the dinning room in silence.

"Do I remind you of her?" Jalisa queried The Artist, breaking the stillness.

The Artist replied, "No,".

"Was she the reason you are obsessed with me?"

"My music and touring helped me overcome my grief and loneliness after her death." The Artist replied. "Dating was the last thing I wanted...until I saw you. Ever since the auditions, I just couldn't get you out of my mind. There's something about you that attracted my attention and affection. You were the reason I gave love another attempt. Despite the fact that you were already in a relationship, I desired you. I felt bad for what I had put you through, and I apologize. If I could do it all over again, I would do it just to prove how deeply I feel about you, Jalisa."

Jalisa pondered everything he said as the two continued their dinner. After that, she returns to her and The Artist's bedroom. When she entered the room, she was taken aback by what she encountered sitting in the middle of the floor.

Taking the four-legged hound into her arms, she delighted by the critter's friendly affection. Enjoying her interaction with the pup, The Artist watched happily.

"I stopped by a animal shelter on the way back. They told me she needed a home and I knew you'd like her." He explained. "This is my apology/ early Christmas gift from me to you."

"You didn't have to-"

"Having learned of your miscarriage, I was guilty of pushing you to end your life. After we returned from the hospital, Tabitha told me about it. I should never have shown you those pictures."

"No, you had every right to show them because I made a mistake by taking that b****** back. Kel vowed he'd never cheat on me again, and lo and behold, he did." Jalisa expressed sadness.

"But you shouldn't blame or hurt yourself because of him. He doesn't deserve you. He never did." He caressed her cheek, bringing her comfort.
