"I'm sorry, megumi!" Itadori yelled, running behind the slightly shorter male. Fushiguro had spent days trying to heal from Yuji's death. Only he know the nights he spent crying, knowing he would never return. He had somewhere blamed himself for Yuji's death. He didn't show it but, he couldn't even eat properly.

He had made himself emotionally stronger for the exchange event. He couldn't afford to fall back there. That's when gojo sensei had to bring yuji out. His face couldn't reveal the amount of shock he was in. Yuji, his yuji was standing infront of him with a shit eating grin. He didn't know whether to be happy or angry. He was happy but he chose the later.

During the exchange event he didn't make a big deal out of it but once they were back, he flat out ignored yuji. After going through an earful from Nobara, yuji could finally talk to megumi but megumi was firm on ignoring him. He was beyond hurt to even look at him.

Yuji didnt seem to care at all. Everyone was back to normal, for a supposedly family dinner. The matter had faded in the background but not for megumi. All those sleepless nights haunted his mind. How could yuji do that? Didn't he care? Didn't he think of what he would say?

He didn't. Yuji didnt care about all the things he put Megumi through or maybe he didn't know. He did try to talk to megumi, throught but it wasn't helping. By now, yuji knew something was up. During dinner he sat next to megumi. Suprisingly he didn't object but wouldn't even look at him.

Fushiguro's actions were piercing his heart but he didn't show it on his face. He had to be the sunshine of the house. Nobara was still giving him and gojo hell for it. Fushiguro knew it wasn't totally Yuji's idea but he couldn't help himself from being angry. Everyone could sense the shift in his mood, especially Nobara.

When everyone left for a while to get some drinks, Nobara followed him. "What's up, megumi?" She asked. "Nothing much." He lied. Although Nobara was slightly slow, she wasn't Itadori Yuji. "I know that the cause of this gloomy behaviour is Ita's return." Megumi turned to her. "Phrase your sentence correctly. Your sounding like I'm unhappy that he returned." He scolded.

She sighed, "I think your the happiest. What happened though?" She asked, genuinely concerned for her friend. Megumi knew he couldnt hide anything from her. "What does Yuji think of himself? How could he just fall dead infront of me. Make me believe he's dead. I've gone through hell these few days and then he just comes back. I'm happy but I'm so angry at the same time." He said, letting it all out.

Everyone had gathered around the table again, including Yuji. Nobara stood next to Fushiguro watching Yuji talk and laugh about with everyone. "Does he seriously not care?" Megumi asked. "I think he does. It wasn't totally his fault and that blindfolded dumbass just wanted to make him stronger. I am still giving him shit for it but I'm happy he returned." She shrugged.

Maybe he was just overreacting? His mind was a mess. He was so deep into his thoughts that he barely noticed Yuji walking upto them. "Hey fushiguro, I was just wondering if you wanted to come chat with us." Before he could speak, Nobara slapped him on the back. "I'm there too! All you can see is him." She yelled.

Fushiguro failed to hide his blushing face. "You've been ignoring me the whole day, megumi. What's up?" He asked after flipping Nobara off, respectfully. "Nothing." He said, bluntly. "C'mon fushi, I know something up." He urged. "Why don't you go talk in his room and let me go win the cards." Nobara clapped and shoved them into eachother before leaving and joining the rest.

"You can go." Fushi said, facing yuji. "No! I want to know why your mad. I've just returned. Imagine if I actually die-" Fushiguro didn't even let him complete before hitting him in the head and walking off. Yuji followed him into his room. "What is it? I want to sleep. Go away."

Yuji couldn't deny that he was hurt my megumi's actions. "I can fix anything. Just tell me why your mad." Yuji yelled, jumping onto his bed and grabbing his hand. Ofcourse Yuji didnt seem to notice how close they were right away, but megumi did. His face flushed red as he pulled his hand away. "I said it's nothing!" He exclaimed.

Knowing yuji wasn't going to budge he finally lost his calm. "Fine! If you want know that bad, listen." He snapped. Yuji had never seen this side megumi. "How can you die infront of me? You don't know the amount of days I couldn't forgive myself for letting you go. When I had mentally prepared myself for today's event you decided to show up, out of the dead. My expressions weren't clear because I didn't know what to feel! Ontop, you don't even seem to care!" He yelled. Finally letting it all out.

When he opened his eyes, he realised he'd just snapped at Yuji. Fuck! He could see tears forming in the latter's eyes. "I'm so sorry yuji. I just snapped." Yuji shook his head and threw his arms around megumi. "I didn't know you cared so much about me. I'm so happy to have you and I'm so sorry. It was gojo sensei's idea to make me stronger." He cried, in megumi's arms.

Fushiguro couldn't help but smile at the boy in his arms. Was he blushing? "Ah, fushiguro are you smiling?" Yuji asked, jumping up with joy. Megumi couldn't help but be a little annoyed. Despite these miscomunications, his heart was beating fast.

Ever since the start when he moved right next to him. He didn't think much of it at first but the day Itadori collapsed infront of him, it felt like his world had stopped. He should have confessed his feelings earlier. It was like god gave him a second chance and he was going to utilise it to the fullest, he would atleast try.
