"Aree yeh koi electrician ko phone karega"
"Garam paani khtam ho gaya hai!"
"Ab na sab jaldi se taiyaar ho jaoo, phir late hoga"
"Why don't you just wear that one"
"Mera makeup box dekha kya"

(Somebody call the electrician.
The hot water is finished
All you get ready fast, don't wanna be late.
Why don't you wear that one.
Has anyone seen my makeup box)

I woke up amidst this chaos in our hotel living room.
I booked it because it had a nice view for photography, not because these guys could put every piece of trash here.

Chips packets, namkeens, lehengas, makeup kits and what not.
Actually it's not their fault, we like to enjoy together.

"It's not even my fuction today.
It's mehendi function today, right?, why are you guys panicking?"

I exclaimed tired of their nonsense and that too  this early in the morning.

"Haan lekin shaam ko Sangeet haina, gadha ka gadha hi rahega"
My mom's taunts me handing over some clips to my cousin sister, murmuring something about some hairstyle.

(Yes, but today is Sangeet night, you'll always remain an idiot)

"The third step, focus on this movement, you are messing this up, 5678, again 5678."

On the other side of the room I hear some of my cousins practicing for their performance tonight.

"You got all the alterations done, to your blouse?"
"Beta, try that lehenga once, I won't hear anything at night"
"Garam paani nhi aaraha kaise nahaaun?"
(The hot water is not coming)
"Turn that tap sideways!!"

Ahhh, it doesn't matter if your elite or a commoner, the chaos before any function will remain the same.

I bet shivani would be having the same troubles right now.

"Ahhh, ADVIT!!"
I hear somebody screaming my name from the corridor.
I lean towards the door to peak and figure out who it was.
I suddenly felt my collar being held by a strong hand, pulling me to the corner.

"Did you send the lehenga?"
Shivani asked leaving my collar because her hold was choking me.

"Yes, I did!"

"How'd you know my choice?"

"I heard you talk about this kind of lehenga, earlier"
I said scratching my head.
I was hoping she wouldn't figure out.
The delivery girl must have told her, but I told her to say mom's name.
Does it matter?
NO
she's happy!

"Did you like it?"

"Yes!"
She said it in a very low tone, almost hiding her excitement.

"I have to get ready, I'll go, thanks for the lehenga"

............

"Dulhan gayab hai!, dulhan gayab hai,DULHAN GAYAB HAI!!!"

(The bride's gone, The bride's done,THE BRIDE'S GONE)

one of my cousins shouted from the middle of the corridor right infront of our room.

"What!" I exclaimed

"Gayatri aunty (shivani's mother) keh rahi hai ki shivaansh, shivani aur radhika teeno gayab hai"

He was so out of breath.

All of them were freaking out.

"Aree pagal dulhan ko bhaagna hota toh apne bhai ke saath thodi bhaagti, jo bhai Mera dost hai!"
