I woke up this morning and decided to go to the gym. It's been a few days since I sent my audition tape for the new movie, and I haven't heard anything back yet. I had just gotten out of the shower when my phone rang.

I cannot believe I got the part. I was checking my email and responding to a bunch of things. This Friday they are having the cast meet at the studio. Then we have the script read, and a rundown of filming. Most of the movies I film are here in LA. This movie isn't. I have to stay in Canada for 3 months. We start filming on January 23rd and end on April 24th. I can fly back after that, but for the 3 months, I'm stuck in Canada away from my family and friends. I'm excited to see new parts of the world, but I don't want to be away from family and friends.
How do I tell Brady this? My mom is used to me being gone for months for filming, but Brady? He and I got super close ever since the night at the Wonka premier. We hang out all the time, Facetime, text 24/7. For god sake, we even kissed 2 times. I think I'm gonna keep it from him just until I figure everything out.
I'm excited to play Willow. She's the main character. The gist of the movie is Willow is a witch, but not just an ordinary one. She has the 4 elements as her powers. When people think of a witch they think of the Wizard of Oz, the wicked Witch of the West. Well, Willow is what you can call a good witch. She protects people from the bad witch who happens to be her sister.
Natalia Dyer will play my sister. My character is portrayed as the bad one, but Natalias is portrayed as the good one. It's kind of like Oz the Great and Powerful. Where the 'good' sister is the bad one but the 'bad' sister is the good one. So basically I save everyone alongside the only person who believes me, Wilder Blacksmith. I'm nervous, I have never worked with Natalia or Louie, and I've heard good things about them, I just never worked with them.
I deep-cleaned my room and cleaned up the house for the rest of the day. When my mom got home I told her the news. She was sad that I was going to be leaving for so long, but happy that I was expanding my acting.
"What about Brady?" She asked as we ate dinner
"I haven't exactly told him yet," I said
"Are you gonna tell him?" She asked
"Eventually yes, I don't know how to break it to him," I said
"Are you sad to be leaving him?" She said
"Yeah, I'm really happy around him, for 3 months I won't see him," I said sadly
"I think you need to nip it in the but soon," She said
"Caroline knowing you you're going to put it off till the last minute then it's gonna be bad," She said grabbing my hand
"How do I tell him?" I asked
"Just tell him, you have to go film in Canada for 3 months," She said
"It's easier said than done," I said
"But you are gonna have to do it at one point," She told me
"What if he hates me?" I asked
"Now you are overthinking it, if he is a true friend he will be very supportive of you going to film in another place," She said
"Can I ask you something?" She said
"Are you the one who is scared of going so far away?" She asked
"Yeah, I'm gonna be with complete strangers," I said
"You are gonna be ok, my strong girl. I know you are gonna get through this" She said hugging me
We ate dinner then mom headed to bed.
C-Can I come over?
B-Yeah, is everything ok?
C-Yeah, I just need to talk to you
B-Ok, text me when you get here, drive safe
I got into my car and drove over to his house. I texted him when I got there and went up to the door. I heard footsteps and the door opened.
"Hey, you ok?" He asked letting me in
"yeah, I just wanted to tell you something," I said as we walked to his room
"What's up?" He asked sitting down on his bed
"Well you know I got the part, well I'm not filming here in LA, I'm filming in Canada," I said
"Oh, for how long?" He asked
"3 months," I said quietly
"Well that's not too long," He said
"I know, but I'm scared," I said
"Why are you scared?" He asked
"I'm gonna be in a whole other place with people I don't know for 3 months. I won't be able to see you" I said tearing up
"Caroline, it'll be ok, I will call you every night. We will make things work" He said pulling me into a hug
"Are you sure?" I asked wiping my tears
"Yes I'm sure, you have my word," He said
"You wanna watch a movie" He asked
"Yeah," I said
"Which one?" He said handing me the remote
"What about Dear John?" I asked clicking on it
"Go for it," He said lying in his bed
I laid down next to him. He wrapped his arms around me.

We were halfway through the movie and Caroline fell asleep. I covered her up with a blanket and laid down next to her.
