"Yeah. I'm fine" he replied looking down at the plate not bothering to look up at her,

"What's wrong"

"Nothing Daya, I have my good days and my bad days just like everyone else" he concluded like if he was holding his tongue

The waitress had then came with the bill placing it on the table "Whenever your ready" the lady smiled before leaving

"It's on me" Dayanara suggested going for the bill before Brian scoffed "What?" she narrowed her eyes at him

"I don't need handouts, I earn my way, every step" he growled finally looking into her eyes "I just need something on the side. Like you and Dom"

Daya was speechless, so this was really why he was mad. She smiled bitterly and clenched her jaw

"What's that supposed to mean" as she was visibly getting angry "Like me and -"

He cut her off "I'm not stupid, all right? I know that there's no way Dom and you paid for all that shit you guys have under the hood. There's no way Dom's paying for what's under the hood of those cars by doing tune-ups and selling groceries" Brian ranted off

"So what ever it is that you're in on, I want in on it too" He finished before Dayanara stood up from the table reaching into her lowrise back pocket, placing money on the table and then handing Brian a card

"What is this" he asked looking up at her

"It's directions to race wars. Where the stakes are high. So before you start thinking I'm so kind of criminal selling drugs or being a thug, take a shot at it yourself" she walked out of the restaurant

"Shit" he mumbled when he realized he messed up by raising his voice at her and approached the topic harshly "Dayanara wait" reaching for her hand but she was quick to let go

"Really? Is this how you think of me?" She questioned him as she tried to walk away again before he cut her off and got in front of her "I'm not working under the table Brian"

"Daya listen" he started while he attempted to avoid his eyes "Look at me" he interlocked their hands while cupping her cheek with his free hand

"I didn't mean it like that"

"Oh really? because I'm almost positive any time before this you were convinced I was some type of conman working in some act with my brother" she rolled her eyes "And if that's what you thought, you know nothing about me"

"I know that you're one of the most selfless people ever and you'd do anything for your family. I know that you stress yourself for that nursing degree because you know if anything happens you can take care of it. That you love racing because it makes you feel alive. That you hate being or feeling alone. And I know that you feel like no one truly sees or listens to you because you're Dom's sister. But I promise you that you're the best thing that has ever happened to me, you're my happy Dayanara Toretto"

She stared at the boy in front of her, shocked by his every word. Her expression was undefinable, but her heart was racing

"I like you Dayanara, alot" he smiled "I want to be your boyfriend, I want to be with you through every race, every delivery order, every Sunday cookout. Ant moment with you"

She smiled while her heart was pounding out of her chest "Are you asking me to be your girlfriend blondie" he connected their lips passionately not wanting to her go

"I am Dayanara"

They rested their foreheads against each other, just appreciating each other's presence

"Stay with me, Spilner. Promise me we're honest with each other" she said placing hand on his cheek, disconnecting their foreheads

"I promise. You know everything about me and more" he grinned pulling her into a hug and lifting her up

"Brian?" she questioned still being in his arms

"Yeah?"

"You are the best thing that has ever happened to me too" she smiled kissing him again
