part 7 - misunderstood

the next dayy

'ami madi and mads havent texted me today' i say to ryland
'its okay, they're probably shaken up about getting cheated on' he responds
'but you should've heard what ami said to me yesterday..' i say. he gives me a quick hug.
'can i ask you something' ryland questions
'yeah ofcourse' i reply
'why were you at the ostroff centre' he asks me
'for my brother. he was admitted last year' i tell him softly
'oh damn i'm sorry. so addison nessa and dixie used it against you' he asks
'yeah they're terrible people' i respond and we walk off towards josh, alejandro, mattia, kairi, mark, maximo, luca
mattia clears his throat and the boys look at me
"what?" i ask, chuckling slightly
josh and luca exchange glances before looking back at me
"nothing" josh tells me
"weird but okay"
me and the boys talk for a while before we go to our classes
when i get to my history class, i sit down in my usual seat with kairi
"hey kai what was going on before i came ul to you guys?" i ask him
"well i can't really tell you" kairi says and i frown
"pleasee" i say but he just shrugs his shoulders and i sigh.

josh pov
"listen luca, she's my bestfriend" i say to luca
"so there shouldn't be a problem with me trying to get with her" luca responds
"you dont get it man" josh says
"what do you want her or something?" luca asks
"guys just chill okay, y/n is in a bad place with all her friends right now. we don't need to complicate her life with this too." ryland tells us and we both nod.
to be honest there were some points where i did feel like i had feelings for y/n but i didn't want to ruin our friendship and i know she had feelings for chase too.
"alright" luca says. he walks off to maxi and mark and me and ryland go to our lockers

y/n pov
i really want to clear things up with amelie, mads, and madi so i decide to go talk to them
"look guys i know i'm the last person you wanna hear from but i swear i didn't know chase would send that. me and him were on bad terms but i never knew my bestfriend could do something like that"
"y/n we love you and we're sorry." mads tells me
"yeah, i know you're going through alot with the ostroff thing and the charli and chase thing" madi says
"and the addison thing and the luca and josh thing" amelie continues
"what luca and josh thing?" i ask, confused. maybe this was why they were acting weird earlier
"oh she doesn't know" madi whispers to amelie but i still heard it.
"nothing i guess" amelie tells me, smiling.
i know she knows something that i don't but i choose to brush it off
"well alright." i say to her when suddenly avani walks over to us
"hey guys, are yall good now?" she asks and we all nod "good" she says
"well we're all single now, i think it's time for us to start talking to boys again" avani says
"so i think i'm into ryland" i tell them and all thr girls squeal
"well mattia is really cute" madi says
"isn't he with cynthia now?" mads asks
"is cynthia the pretty one that looks like madison beer" madi asks
"yeah" amelie reply
"nick is kinda finee" avani says
"so is josh" mads tells us.
"ew ew ew" i say. "out of all boys, josh?"
"well since nessa was hoeing around with chase AND jaden, i think i'll go for her ex" mads tells us
"good move" avani says
"so what about you ami?" i ask. ami shrugs
"i guess ill stay single for now" she tells us and we all nod in agreement. as we start to walk around, we see addison, dixie, and charli
"ugh look who it is" dixie says, scowling at us
"keep looking at us like that i dare you" madi tells them
"are you threatening my sister?" charli asks
"charli what happened to you. you were my bestfriend now you're one of addison's minions" i tell her and she frowns
"well maybe because she didn't air out my business to gossip girl because i was happy and she wasn't" charli says
"that's not why i did it and you know thats not the real reason" i say to her and they all look at charli
"well maybe it's because i knew you always liked chase and i let it go because you didn't do anything. but posting that to gossip girl was a real low move" she blurts out, causing everyones eyes to be on me.
"char.. " i say and i get cut off
"don't say anything. lets just go" dixie says and they all leave
"remember this is war" addison says while walking off
"so you don't like ryland? i'm confused" avani says
"guys it isn't like that.. yes i liked chase but i didn't send the blast to ruin them" i tell them, trying to justify myself
"y/n i don't even know with you anymore." amelie says as she walks off, the rest of the girls following on behind her and i sigh
i stand in the hallway alone till i feel arms around my shoulders
i look to the side and see josh
"i dont know how to get them to trust me. they think i sent out the charli blast because i liked chase when that's nowhere near the truth" i tell josh
"well are you sure? you were pretty head over heels and got jealous whenever you saw them together" josh says and i scoff
"i thought you would understand" i say to josh, my eyes tearing up.
i pushed him off me and walked out the school building. my vision was blocked by the tears in my eyes.
i bumped into someone and felt hands in my shoulders. i blinked the tears out my eyes and saw luca, standing worriedly in front of me
"hey hey are you okay y/n?" he asks and i nod my head no
he embraces me in a hug and i cry on his shoulders.
"what the hell man?" josh called out from behind me, causing luca's head to shoot up and me to turn around
