Angelina Wilder has had night terrors since she was fourteen. They started after she found out that one of her friends, Amy, had allegedly killed herself. It seemed like every night, she would wake up screaming, seeing Amy in her dreams constantly. The only people who were able to calm her down were her twin sister, Dionne, or her older brother, Alex. Lately, her dreams have gotten weirder. She always ends up in some sort of study, surrounded by cloaked figures, and every time, she sees an array of colors before she wakes up in a cold sweat. She's been trying to figure out what it meant for so long, and she may have found her answer.
Carter Wallace knows her mother was killed, she just can't prove it. Her mother was the type to tell her everything. She was her best friend, she'd never lie to her. She would tell her if something was wrong. So when she comes home from school one day, seeing her aunt and her cousin, Stella, standing on her porch with the police and ambulances outside, and seeing her mother's body dangling from the light fixture in her room, she knew something was up. The only thing she was allowed to take off of her mother's body was the necklace she always wore. Her mother always said it would protect her, but it didn't seem she needed to be protected anymore. Yes, Carter knows her mother was killed, she just can't prove it. Not yet.

AUTHOR'S NOTE Alright, um, this a spur of the moment thing that I thought of at, like, 3 a.m. Do I have any idea where this will go? No. Will I probably abandon this story like I did all my other Marvel fics because of the constant love-hate relationship with them and the never-ending need to unpublish and rewrite them until I lose all motivation to write all together, which will most likely lead to another hiatus? God, I hope not.
