They both laughed and rubbed their shoulders, sore from the crash.
"Why'd you bring me here?" Keefe asked. "They're probably not near ready yet."

"I figured Sophie would jump at the chance to get away from Biana—and hang out with you," Fitz answered.

"Fair point," he agreed, shrugging.

They walked over to the house, but just as they were about to knock, a horrible screech echoed through the air. It wasn't an animal from the enclosures—they were all surprisingly quiet. It was from inside the house.

"What the heck was that?" they asked the other.

Another scream sounded, along with crashing and more that could only be described as "Sophie", "Biana", and "dresses" combined.

Keefe was pretty sure somewhere in the noise he heard Sophie shouting, "BIANAAAAAAAA NOOOOOOOO!" but wasn't sure if he'd imagined it or not.

Both boys looked at each other in terror.

"Maybe we should come back later," Fitz said. Keefe quickly agreed and they leaped to Everglen.

*~*~*

Sophie's POV:

"Biana!" Sophie cried. Biana smiled innocently.

"C'mon, Soph. It's for Keefe—and me. Pleaseeeee," Biana begged. Linh nodded. The dress Linh was holding if worn by her, would cause more catastrophes than the Neverseen ever had. And the heels were even worse. Sophie could barely walk normally—in heels, she would ultimately die. And the dress was poofy with a train. Sophie's worst nightmare.

Literally—she's just had one the other day with a dress so poofy she didn't know where the fabric ended and her skin began. It was all just a big blur. And Keefe took one look at her in it and—

Sophie shot down the thought before she could relive the horrors.

Even though she already was.

"Put on the dress!" Biana squealed.

"No!" Sophie shouted.

"Please?" Linh begged.

"No!"

They went back and forth until Sophie relented. "Two minutes—then I'm taking it off!" she warned. Linh and Biana squealed happily and shoved the dress into her hands. It was hard to get a grip on the fabrics—and even harder to tell what was what—but she closed the bathroom door and awaited her doom.

A few minutes later, after she'd managed to put it on(with some help from Edaline because there was no way she could've done it herself), Sophie stumbled forward and sighed.

"This is making me sweat. It's heavy!" she complained. Biana and Linh were staring at her, mouths open.

"Sophie!" they shrieked. "It's amazing!"

Sophie rolled her eyes. "I don't care. I'm taking it off." She'd started to head back to the bathroom to change but the girls pulled her back.

"Keefe has to see it!" they ordered. Sophie paled.

(the dress won't upload so imagine it yourselves sorry)

Keefe's POV:

Keefe was teasing Fitz at the Shores of Solace when Sophie hailed him.

"Foster?" he asked, eager to see her. He missed her. The Fitzter was good company—but Foster was a lot better.
