N - done !

M - huh !?

Karan then stood up and looked at the nurse.

K - dekha , dard bhi nhi hua tumhe , aur tum itna darr rhi thi.

Monami's eyes widen in shock ,

M - Khadoos Shergill ! How dare you ?

K - I am sorry , baby ! But , aur koi tarika bhi toh nhi tha na , tumhe convince krne ka , isliye I had to do this.

M - Karan , don't even talk to me !

She said and looked at the other side.

K - Monami , monami , I am sorry na , please maaf krdo , par tumhari bhalai ke liye hi toh tha , aur tumhe tumhe bilkul bhi dard nhi hua.

M - no

K - Monami , please.

She remained silent.

K - acha , suno , tumhare liye ek surprise hai.

K - suno toh sahi .

M (in an irritated tone ) - kya hai ?

K - yeh dekho.

He said , and the moment she turned her face , he cupped her cheeks lovingly and kissed her.

Her eyes widened  while he then held her hands and wrapped them around his neck.

He then gently broke the kiss , and placed his right hand on her stomach , while caressing it.

K - Monami !

She had her eyes closed.

K(in a softer tone) - Monami , kiss me back.

Before she could reply , he placed his lips on hers again. This time , she too reciprocated the kiss with full passion.

After a minute or so , they broke the kiss mutually , and he placed his forehead on hers. His hand still caressing her stomach , where their baby is residing peacefully.

M - Karan !

K(with his eyes closed) - hmm.

M - I am scared !

He abruptly opened his eyes , but didn't move his forehead.

K - huh ?

He looked at Monami , sobbing quietly.

K - Monami , kya hua hai , baby ?

He said caressing her cheeks softly.

M - Karan , agar voh , voh attacker ne phirse

K - shhh , kuch nhi hoga , main ho na tumhare saath , tumhe kuch nhi hone dunga main. Na , main tumhe kuch hone dunga na humare baby ko. Aur uss attacker ko pakdne ka plan bna liya hai humne.

M - huh , kya , tumne , tumne mujhe kyu nhi btaya.

K - tumhe stress nhi dena chahta tha main.

M - par Karan

K - shh , Monami ! Calm down. I won't let anything happen to you , I promise. Aur yeh ek soldier ka promise hai , I won't break it.
Do you trust me ?

M - yes , of course.

She immediately replied.

K - great , you just sleep for some time , huh ? Yahi ho main , tumhare paas.

Monami nodded her head , and closed her eyes. Karan sat besides her , and caressed her head.

She then dozed off into a deep slumber.
