Katherine knocks on the girls bedroom door before letting herself in. Maddie is sprawled out on her bed in a pile of unfolded clothes while Jackie neatly unpacks her stuff. The two girls are the best of sisters but could not be more opposite. Jackie is a straight A student, never does the wrong thing and values her reputation. Maddie is a C average student, best known for skipping class to go smoke behind the bleachers. The only real similarities between the two is that they would both do anything for each other.
"How are you settling in? Can I get you anything? I'm sorry there's not more room in here." Katherine blurts out while watching the girls with a sweet smile. Maddie is already understanding why Kath was her mothers best friend.
"It's fine. Sorry we are taking your space." Jackie apologises feeling guilty about being a burden to the woman.
"Please, I do not have time to paint anymore with all these kids around. Your mum told me you love art Maddie, is that right?" Katherine asks the girl whose cheeks flush red at the mention of her hobby.
"Yeah, I love to paint but I mainly do sketches." She explains smiling shyly at the woman. Maddie never got shy except for when people bring up her artwork.
"Feel free to help yourself to any of the equipment up here. It's better than it collecting dust." She laughs while moving an axel to Maddies side of the room.
"Thank you."

The next morning Jackie gets up and starts to get ready for her first day at her new school. Maddie groans loudly as she rolls around in her bed.
"What the fuck are you doing up so early!" Maddie shouts in annoyance.
"Early? It's almost 8am we have to leave in twenty minutes." Jackie laughs at her sisters sleepiness.
"Maybe I'll start our new school tomorrow." Maddie sighs while pulling her dunner over her head. Jackie walks to her sisters bed and pulls the covers off her while telling her to get ready. Maddie slowly gets up whining and immediately reaches for her backpack to grab out a joint and lighter. Maddie doesn't miss Jackie rolling her eyes angrily at the blondes bad habit.
"You literally just woke up, do you have too?" She storms out of the room and down stair. Maddie finishes her joint and gets ready in lightning speed. She races out the front door to see a car filled with Walter boys and Jackie waiting impatiently.
"Come on Maddison, get in!" Cole shouts from the car making her awkwardly run. His eyes trail down her body without him even realising before Danny hits him over the back of the head with a knowing smile.
