I - An Iridescent Glow

The abyss was cold and dark. You could hear screams of tortured souls as you walked through the hallways of cruelty.

As TOBY walked through that large, wooden door, he found himself in a labyrinth of choices.

Which path should he take to prevent himself from getting lost? He didn't know as a loud noise approached him quickly.

He woke up with a cold sweat as he gasped for air as if he was drowning.

He held his head in his hand, quickly grabbing the glass of water on his bedside table.

Why do I keep having the dream again and again?

It was too early to start the day. Getting settled back into his bed as he pulled the blanket over his head.

Walking back and forth to his school was a hassle, yeah he was close to school but couldn't he just hitch a ride with someone?!

But oh well, he can't complain. He got himself into a good school and that's all that matters.

Walking towards his locker, LESTER walked towards him as he gave a big smile at Toby.

''Hey 'By! You aren't usually this late to school, what happened?'' He chuckled, leaning against the locker with his arms crossed.

Toby looked over at Lester as he sighed, opening his locker and placing his books inside.

'' I just woke up late, that's all. '' He said tiredly as he shut the locker door. Lester's smile faltered as Toby tried walking away.

Immediately grabbing Toby's wrist as he stared at him with those concerned eyes.

''As your boyfriend, you know I'm supposed to know what's wrong.'' He said, looking around as no one was in the hallway. ''You can tell me anything, because I am not believing that you just woke up late today.''

''Your voice sounded tired, your eyes have eyebags underneath them.''Lester looked at him with concern. ''Just tell me everythin' at break. You'll be late for your class.''

He pressed a small kiss to Toby's forehead as he gave him a small smile.

Math was pretty boring, all about temperature and equations and geometry and.. and some boring stuff. It's not hard if you listen, just enough to get you yawning.

Stumbling out of class, feeling light-headed because he could not understand whatever the hell was written on the board.

''Maybe I should've paid attention..'' He grumbled as he took a deep breath to calm his mind.

As he was trying to walk again, he bumped into a person as he fell to the floor.

The person turned to look at Toby. ''C-Could you help me stand up?''Feeling embarrassed from falling as AARON didn't respond.

Pulling the lollipop out of his mouth. ''Do it yourself, you have hands idiot.'' Aaron said as he placed the lollipop back in his mouth.

He walked away as Lester approached him, picking Toby up as he sighed.

''That Aaron is always such a douchebag towards you, I'm sorry.''Lester said as Toby shook his head.

''It's fine. '' Dusting off his clothes as walked towards his next class.

But something felt off, like something was watching him. Maybe someone was just staring at him? A creep maybe?

He doesn't know as he opened the door to his next class as he suddenly fell into a dark abyss.
