Lies

She stood there
Lying through her teeth
You were her friend first
She said
She saw you and just knew you would be fast friends
She claimed

But you were my friend first
She wanted nothing to do with you
I was there
I was yours
She was her own
But you
You were wrapped around her finger

She avoided you
I kept you sane
I "saved" you
Or so you claim

Now here she stands
In your arms
Tucked away
Her lies turn to truth
My truth fades away

They stand around and sigh
"What a story so pure"
No one can see through the lies
Of a romance so sure
