"You honor me, Master." I said, biting my lip.

He chuckled.

"RUMI!"

My head snapped up as Shinjuro came charging over and yanked me into his arms.

"Are you hurt?! What happened? How did he find you?! Is Tadashi okay?!"

I felt myself melt into his unnaturally warm body and familiar feel.

"We're okay." Tadashi said, coming up to the Meeting House, flanked by two Kakushi.

Although it was day, the winter mornings were always covered with thick clouds that lasted for weeks. The sun hasn't been out in a while, so Tadashi has been staying out of the crate more often.

Shinjuro yanked him into the hug as well, and there was a few peaceful moments of silence.

"He didn't do anything. I'm okay." I said into his chest.

Shinjuro relaxed but didn't let us go. Even when he turned to bow before Ubuyashiki.

"Forgive me, Master-"

"It's quite alright Shinjuro, I was worried for them as well." Ubuyashiki interrupted.

Shinjuro nodded.

"Rumi, why don't you tell us what happened?"

For the next hour, I told them all in explicit detail about how Tadashi and I came into contact with Douma, how we spoke, how we made it to the inn, how I answer his questions, and how we parted.

" . . . . then we stayed with the Himejima's and went to Jigoro." I finished.

Yasu looked upset, Haruki looked troubled, Jigoro looked worried, you can never tell with Sakonji, but Shinjuro looked PISSED.

"What's the name you're using now?" Ubuyashiki used after a long moment of silence.

"(Y/n)." I answered. "It seemed foolish to give him my real name, especially since Kokushibo doesn't know it. Unfortunately, he overheard Tadashi's name."

Shinjuro placed his hand on my head in silent approval of my actions.

"I think it'd be best if a Hashira accompanied Rumi and Tadashi at all times from now on." Ubuyashiki declared. "At least until they can defend themselves properly."

My head snapped up.

"That's not necessary. We-"

"It's for your safety Rumi." Jigoro said, Shinjuro nodding in agreement. "And Tadashi's."

But Tadashi looked dubious too.

I tried to keep myself from scowling.

If they're hovering over me all the time though, then I can't make connections and extract information and allies.

"Master." I said, looking boldly up at Ubuyashiki. "I only have six more months until I can attend Final Selection. Six more months to finish perfecting my families breathing technique and I have mastered Total Concentration Constant in my time with Shinjuro and Jigoro. I trust Sakonji to take care of me when he needs to, but not all the time. I don't need to be babied."

"Actually, Sakonji has to go on important mission as of right now." Ubuyashiki sighed. "So you can go with either Yasu or Haruki."

"I'll take them." They both chimed.

They both paused and glanced at each other.

"I'll improve her swordsmanship." Yasu said tensely.

"I'll improve her physical training." Haruki said evenly.
