Chapter 7: Inheritance Part 2

"Wake up will you" a voice Teo didn't recognise said. The boy feeling a splash of cold water hitting his face. Teo gasping and his eyes shot open before his sight adjusted and he saw that it was Lady Bullseye. "What the heck is this?" Teo asked as she found herself tied up in a bathtub in what looked like it might be a warehouse that was in a lot of disrepair. Akiko said that he was lucky to still be alive from how close he was to the house before the rocket exploded. Yet added he was alive for now because she needed bait to get a monkey she really didn't like. Teo asked if she was going to do the cliché of monologing her whole evil plan to him because he was gonna die soon at her hands anyways. But Akiko said that she didn't really want to kill him. Yet knowing that he was friends with Hit Monkey made her want to kill him too. "Somebody?,.,. Anyone?... Help" Teo yelled but the new Lady Bullseye only smirked saying she would only be more nervous if a caped hero from Krypton was around. The boy hissed that if she had killed anyone else in his family that he was going to kill her. Adding that part of him didn't care what Bryce had told him days ago. Only for Akiko to smirk more for a second. Meanwhile Bryce and Monkey were looking for the boy. Trying to move quickly. Not even caring if the police were going to attempt to arrest him or shoot him on sight. Sinead chased after them to keep up. Still saying she wanted to help despite Bryce warning both the girl and the snow monkey that Lady Bullseye was dangerous. She said she heard him but wasn't listening and just wanted her cousin to still be alive. Adding that a small part of her wanted the killer dead herself following the death of her mum. And Bryce sighed muttering that some kids could be stubborn before the three continued. Back at the warehouse Teo asked if the killer knew anything about the bounty on his head. Saying if she let him live then maybe she could get a percentage of it.

Lady Bullseye said it was tempting but added that following the news of what was one day going to be his wealth and him being friends with Hit Monkey, she had came to an agreement already. The boy heard the sound of shoes hitting an old dusty floor and the door opened to reveal it was his Uncle Dick holding his dad hostage while having a smirk on his face. Dick wearing a suit of sorts now while his brother looked like he had already gotten hurt from some kind of interrogation or torture. "Uncle Dick, you have outlived your nickname you piece of shit" Teo said beginning to have his language get more colourful like his parents because he was extremely angry. Dick called him a brat and told him to shut up before he felt tempted to put tape over his mouth. Lady Bullseye asking if the girl had been taken care of to which he said Sinead was with one on the neighbours. Not knowing that his daughter was still with both Bryce and Monkey. Moments past and the boy asked what Lady Bullseye was getting out of her helping his money hungry uncle to which she replied that she got to kill Monkey for killing her uncle back in Tokyo. Teo said that Monkey told him he had no choice but to. Leading her to scoff before slashing his cheek with a knife. Growling in irritation before saying he was lying. Saying her uncle wanted to make Japan a better place and free from corruption until Monkey put a bullet in his head. The moment replaying in her head and she started to get even more angry. His dad soon got his attention by looking at him before winking. Making him think that something was about to happen. While Monkey and Bryce checked another street. His dad then elbowed Dick in the gut making him groan before he rushed forward. Pushing Lady Bullseye to the side and looking like he was going to try and help his son escape, even if it meant his own death. Only for his dad to just tassel his hair and chuckle a little. 

"Dad what are you doing?" Teo asked before Lady Bullseye laughed saying the kid was pretty stupid. "All of this over money" his dad said. Both the siblings saying that they wanted the money as Teo was too young and just wanted the will to get rid of it. "The three of you are dead. Do you hear me you pathetic fucks" Teo said. Struggling to control his own anger as he discovered the truth. His dad smirking that it was unlikely before Bullseye asked if the brothers wanted the kid to be cut into pieces and given for Monkey to find piece by piece. Like some sort of twisted trail of breadcrumbs for the snow monkey and the ghost assassin to follow. Sinead started to get tired but she refused to give up. Monkey starting to get a little tired as well. Before she decided to phone her dad and see if he was okay. Dick's phone went off and he just chuckled to himself saying that he forgot to switch it off. "Give me that" Lady Bullseyes said snatching the phone before tossing it out the broken window to the street bellow. Teo screamed for help again and she said she wanted him to shut up. His dad saying he had a better idea now on what to do. Both siblings getting the same idea with Dick turning the water for the apartment on and Teo's dad pushed him more into the tub before putting tape over his mouth. The man then turning on the tap saying that the police would soon find Teo dead and both himself and his brother would vow to make sure he rested in peace. Using some of the inheritance for a nice funeral while keeping the rest for themselves to spend in secret after paying Lady Bullseye. Guessing out loud with the will not around the inheritance would go to them instead of a dead seven year old. 

Sinead gave herself a small push of confidence and her bike tire burst running over a broken piece of phone turning a corner. Bryce stopping the kid from having a nasty bike crash using his powers and the girl thanked him. Monkey whined saying he didn't want to give up yet looking a little sad before Sinead looked down and said that the phone was her dad's. Looking at the building and asking why her dad would be there. Bryce saw it as suspicious too and used his powers to look though the place. Going quickly from room to room on floor to floor before there was only one left and he stumbled upon what was going on. Bryce yelled that the boy was in the building and Monkey quickly charged inside heading for the stairs while Bryce tried to get Teo free, dealing with Lady Bullseye and Teo's uncle and dad as well. Monkey shooting through the door and screeching in rage before opening fire and hitting Dick in the leg. Neither of the duo knowing if it was fate or luck or destiny that made them stumble onto the building Akiko was keeping Teo hostage. Bryce dealt with the two siblings while Monkey went against Lady Bullseye. Monkey hooting and screeching that he didn't want to fight her yet she just replied that she wanted revenge. The two trying to hurt each other as Monkey was getting more and more angry. Bryce punched Teo's dad in the nose breaking it and he shoved Dick into a wall knocking him unconscious. Bryce then quickly moved to Teo and tried to get him but his dad wouldn't give up without a fight and tried to tackle the ghost. Monkey then shot at Akiko hitting her in the ear taking part of it off. The new Lady Bullseye hissing in pain saying the snow monkey was going to regret what he just did. Monkey then jumped onto her and slammed her head into a fridge before she fell unconscious too. Once Teo was free he said he was going to kill his dad and uncle for killing his Oma but Bryce said that killing them wouldn't bring his Oma back.

Suddenly Lady Bullseye threw several sharp objects into Teo's dad killing him as he tried to get up. Akiko charging at the boy before pinning him up against the wall. Having murder in her eyes. She said that she really hated kids and Bryce told her to put the boy down. Monkey growled at her to not kill him or else but Akiko laughed saying she didn't care what he had to say. "I know you have some pathetic monkey crush on me you animal. But that's why I know you won't kill me...Killing this brat is going to be so much fun seeing him as..." Lady Bullseye said with a smirk on her face. The dirty rusted knife in her hand getting so close to dealing a fatal blow. Before she suddenly felt herself get shot in the chest making her let him go and drop the knife turning around to see Monkey glairing at her coldly before he shot her in the head. Killing her instantly as her body dropped to the floor. Teo rushed over to the monkey and hugged him. The suited snow monkey then letting his sadness out as he hugged him back tightly and tears started to come down his face. The boy saying it was okay because he saved him. Yet it still felt in part like a hollow victory. "You'll never see a single penny of that inheritance. It's all mine now" Dick said as he chuckled, the police being there and arresting him on suspicion of murder. Monkey and Bryce trying to keep to the shadows as he still didn't have his name cleared yet. A cop told Dick to tell his excuses to a judge and he laughed saying the will his brother wrote was gone. Monkey then grunted for Teo to check his pocket and he pulled out a piece of paper. Soon smiling and seeing what it was. "No way" Sinead said. Everyone seeing it was the will still intact making Dick scowl as the two brothers plan to get the inheritance was stopped. The media showed up and Teo looked to see if Monkey and Bryce were there. Only to find they were gone. The cousins looking around but finding no one. But Teo soon found his bag outside with a note inside saying for him to enjoy his life. Unzipping the bag to find the unread note, all his stuff and both a photo of Monkey and Teo together. Along with one of Monkey's suits to remember him. "Goodbye Monkey. I hope I see you soon" Teo said looking at nobody with a smile. Thinking one day that he would get his name cleared. Hoping that one day they would meet again in the future. Always seeing the suited snow monkey and the ghost assassin as his friends.
