He wasn't wrong. You did cause quite the fuss in the land of everlasting snow.
He could only blame Barbatos for attempting to turn you in such a drunkard. Well, not on his watch.
Twirling some strands of you hair, you dismissed the shameful notice. "Well, it was just a little misfortune of mine, it's not like I lost my gnosis because of it..." Both of you stood up, making your way to the exit.
On your way you thanked the house owner Prince and allowed yourself to tip Diona. Rather you asked Jiangxi to tip her, despite him not being too enthusiastic about doing so.
Jiangxi being the natural gentleman he had become, reached for your jacket and helped you putting it on. "No but it could have been. Who knows what they could have done if I wasn't there to watch you. You could've looked away for a second and poof no more gnosis." He worries too much, at least that's what you thought. "At least someone between us does the worrying.." having someone this concerned about you certainly was kind of comforting. 2000 years ago, an agreement made and neither of you failed to fulfill it.
"See? That's why my intuition was right about you from the very first time we met~" you gave his cheek a light kiss, letting some of your (f/c) lipstick leave a mark. 'Delightful' you snicker. With Jiangxi giving you a final frown, both of you left the Cat's Tail.

Perhaps it was only your imagination. But as soon as you had exited the cat bar, you felt like that signature light breeze from Mondstadt you knew so well was getting a little uneasy. Just a bit too turbulent to your liking. You made your way towards the cathedral's plaza, Jiangxi following right behind you, already getting the hint to keep his guard up.
It was only a matter of seconds before the wind started to become extremely harsh. Suddenly the sky turned grey and a loud roar resonated in the city.
Your eyes widened at the familiar sound, immediately snapping your head into the direction of the noise. What in the...oh.
As citizens tried their best to flee the scene, an Anemo elemental dragon made its entrance, flying through the city. Struggling against the wind, both you and your fellow companion stood there, unwavering. You desperately tried to call his name as the dragon kept levitating around Mondstadt until halting his race in the sky. He had started summoning tornadoes next to Barbatos's statue, which would destroy the town.
Though you feared he wouldn't hear you, the beast flew lower into your direction. He was out of control.
Dvalin flew a bit too close to you for Jiangxi's liking who was already awaiting him in a defensive stance, his claymore ready to strike. "Y/N, you shouldn't let him get this close to you. He is no more the nation's friend that we knew."
That didn't matter to you. Not only did the blue dragon seem outraged, but you could have sworn you had seen a hint of insecurity and sadness.
"Ji, put your weapon down" you whispered at the god. "Y/N-"
"You heard me." You hissed. The man rolled his eyes before dismissing his massive sword, trusting you even if he had a bad feeling about this.
The dragon seemed to examine your appearance, struggling to remember you. His mind was a bit foggy.
"Dvalin my old friend...calm your fury! We are not your enemies, neither is this city!!" You spoke in an assertive manner and sticked your hand out for him to believe you. He took in some more of your form, yet the onyx blue color on your hand made him grow suspicious and immediately frightened him away. You mentally cursed at yourself as the dragon let out another ear wrecking roar before disappearing into the clouds, the tornadoes still ravaging the city.
