Chapter 20: Admiral Aokijii

(Y/N) looked over at Luffy, smiling at his words. 'I would trust that man with my life.' (Y/N)'s attention was stolen by people emerging from the forest around them. They looked like they have gone through hell and back, making (Y/N) frown.

A few of the men fell to their knees looking towards the Admiral. "So you're really a marine?? I wish we've known that a lot sooner."

"Hey who are all these people??" Nami called out to the crew who looked at them in concern.

"Well." Aokijii sighed as the straw hats turned back to look at him. "They are probably castaways that washed up on the shore here. There was a passenger liner that was reported missing about a month ago last seen somewhere in this area. I'm guessing it sank and these are the survivors."

Once (Y/N) retrieved her sickle, the crew assisted Chopper in taking care of the injured while Sanji made them food to eat. Usopp explained to the survivors that they could have found food on their own, but Nami quickly defended them saying that their ship wrecked in the Grand Line and that they were lucky to be alive at all.

"Not everyone was so fortunate, we were the only ones on the ship that made it to this island." The survivor group's leader spoke up.

"So what happened?" The ginger questioned the man who began his story.

"We were on our way home from a gourmet tour of Poochie, a city renowned for its exquisite food! When suddenly, our ship collided with a giant frog that was doing the front crawl, and shattered it to pieces."

"A giant frog doing the front crawl??! Are you serious?" Nami questioned the man's story.

"It can't be..." (Y/N)'s eyes widened as she thought aloud.

"Yeah. That was Yokozuna." The marine behind her said which made the (h/c) haired woman's jaw drop.

"YOKOZUNA?!!?" The crew turned to the screaming woman. "You know Yokozuna?!! HE ACTUALLY DID IT! HE LEARNED THE FRONT CRAWL!!" (Y/N) jumped up and down in total happiness as her crew looked at her confused.

"She's actually lost it." Zoro and Usopp said in unison.

"No I haven't!" The woman angrily hit the boys of their heads. "I am actually friends with that frog. If he's actually around here, I hope we see him soon. Although I doubt he remembers me." (Y/N) shrugged, but was still happy to know her froggy friend is alive and well.

The survivors went on to explain that after a month had past, the group ran out of their food supply. The group leader claimed to be on the brink of starvation, but the only two things that they saw come on the island were: a man riding a bicycle and a pirate ship.

'Geez they had shit luck, thanks to Yokozuna.' (Y/N)'s thought nearly made her laugh, but she refrained due to how cruel it would have been.

Luffy started yelling at the admiral to get the hell out of his sight. Aokijii didn't have to comply with the pirate's demands, but surprisingly the man said he would. "I'll leave, but before I do. You guys should gather your stuff and get ready to leave too. Fortunately, I know of an inhabitant island that's not too far away from this one. You should go there, ask them to help you out."

"Hey you guys! Don't believe a word he says, this guy's a marine officer!!" Luffy's words made everyone stand in silence.

"So what? Is there a problem?" The survivor leader asked, making Luffy realize that his crew was seen as the savages since they were pirates and the marines were the good guys to civilians.

After reaching the island's shore, the pirates and the marine worked together to the help the survivors pack for their voyage.

"Alright everyone, stand back." Aokijii placed his hand in the water. A moment of silence fell upon the people watching him before a sea beast emerged from the ocean, setting its sights on Aokijii.
