It is very late at night. She had just completed her homework and was settled on her bed.
She should sleep.
Yes. Sleep.
But for some reason she can't.
Its like her whole self is telling her not to close her eyes for more than a few moments.
her hearing is at its peak. Her parents snoring can be heard from room just few steps away. the water dripping from one of the taps.
The clock is ticking very loudly.

She doesn't hear the clock anymore. Confused, she tries to look at the clock through the dark her eyes had already gotten use to. She just need to sit up and look.
Just get up, look at the clock to see if it is broken and then lay back down.
just sit up and look.
Just sit up.
sit up!
Something heavy weighs on her chest. Not heavy enough to make her unable to breath, but enough to unable to make her sit.
Sweat trickles down her forehead.
she tries to listen to her parents snore for comfort anymore.
she doesn't hear it.
Her eyes strain as she tries to look at the closed door in that uncomfortable position. Her eyes desperate, wishing that suddenly her father and mother will burst in to make sure she is ok.
They don't.
Her mouth opens to shout for them, but only a small voice comes out.
"help" she chokes as the tears of fear trickle down her eyes. Suddenly she starts feeling very sleepy.
Her head felt heavy and her eyes refused to keep open.
Even though her whole body is relaxing, her heart races as her eyes go up the ceiling.
'no' she thinks desperately 'don't sleep'
But her body refuses to listen.
As her eyes flutters for last time, she prints those bright eyes and creepy smile in her brain as one last thought runs to her mind.
