Chapter 15: Clash Landing on G-8

Start from the beginning

"Yes sir!" They shouted in unison.

(Y/N) walked behind the commander and the lieutenant's small squad of men who are now inside the marine base.

"It would appear that the ship in question stopped by Jaya quite recently." The commander asked his lieutenant if the coffee was delicious to which the lieutenant nervous responded 'yes'. "Judging by the color and smell of the coffee left on deck, one can assume that the beans are from Jaya. But you must already know this having courageously sampled it yourself."

The lieutenant tried to make an excuse, but the commander continued his conversation. "And that south bird. That species of bird only inhabited the jungles of Jaya. Incidentally, there is a legend of a City of Gold there."

The marines who followed questioned the commander if he believed the ghost ship isn't actually a ghost ship. "I don't know where the ship's crew is or what their up to, but that's no ghost ship. It's just a pirate boat out of Jaya."

The commander went on to explain his reasoning behind why he told his men about the ship being a ghost ship. "Our men are a little too green to deal with a situation like this..."

(Y/N) nearly scoffed as she heard the man's reasoning. 'If their too weak to fight us, why even bother going though all the trouble and let us go on our merry way.' (Y/N) rolled her eyes and continued hovering above the air behind the group.

The lieutenant asked his commander if he could assemble a team and search for the pirates right away, but the commander told him not to be so hasty. The man commanded the three men behind them to secure their defenses at the coast, the ammunition storage and all to lock down all major passage ways.

'He's planning to trap us.' (Y/N) thought as she eyed the commander. 'This guy's smart.'

The commander went on to state that the lieutenant will gather his men at dawn and investigate any places where people gather.

"Where people gather? But why?" His lieutenant asked.

"Because it's difficult to find green insects living in green grass. If the Straw Hats were to acquire some of our uniforms? You must understand it's not that I don't have faith in my men, but we just need to keep in mind that we are searching for a most clever enemy."

The commander began to walk away saying that pirates are always hungry, telling his lieutenant to check the mess hall in the morning. "SIR!" The lieutenant saluted him.

(Y/N) allowed the lieutenant to pass through him, "He's right. We are clever." The (h/c) haired woman whispered ever so lightly making a chill run down the lieutenant's spine.

"I'm sorry sir, did you say something?" He turned to his commander who was too far away to hear his question.

(Y/N) left the lieutenant in confusion as she flew after the commander. 'I hope the others don't get caught.'

"All in all, there are seven pirates." The commander said as he laid back in his chair, feet on the desk.

"Eight." (Y/N) appeared behind him, holding her right sickle to his throat.

Than man didn't flinch as he spoke, "I was hoping you were just a bounty hunter catching a ride with a pirate crew, but I suppose I was wrong."

"How do you know my father?" (Y/N) didn't hesitate to ask her question.

"Easy now. Why don't you take a seat and we can discuss this over a cup of tea." The commander's words caused (Y/N) to rest her blade along his neck, allowing him to receive a light cut along his throat. "Alright, I will tell you want I know. Please put down your weapon."
