Sit Back and Relax

Minyoung awoke the next morning miserable, hearing her alarm go off. She reluctantly got out of bed and quickly showered, giving into spelling her hair dry afterwards and applied lotion. That was the thing about her relationship with magic; she would use it to an extent but refused to rely too much on it. Minyoung dressed in jeans, ankle boots, and pulled a black leather jacket over a floaty teal top. She accessorised the outfit with some of her favourite jewelry and applied a pink lipstick to her lips. She managed to spell her hair back to its original copper-auburn colour.

Breakfast was simple: a cup of black coffee, sliced avocado, and poached eggs on toast. Minyoung kept her eye on the time, doing her morning routine right up until she had ten minutes to spare. She grabbed her bag and made sure she had everything she needed before teleporting to work in Diamond. As she walked through the door, she heard some people quietly gossiping about the previous evening's events.

"Sieun, did you hear about the girl who sprained and dislocated a selkie last night at Limelight?" Gwyndolyn, another albino dragon, hurried after Minyoung when they saw her walking to her desk. "People can't stop talking about her."

"Say what now?" Minyoung asked as she sat down and turned on her monitor.

"A lot of people went out last night. What did you get up to?" Much to her dismay, Gwyndolyn persisted.

"That's none of your concern," she scowled as she logged into the computer. "I don't owe to others to know what I do outside of work." The signature notification sound regarding councils and activity regarding the eight kings of Hell caught Minyoung's attention. She checked her phone to see that she'd received a council summoning for the next scheduled meeting.

"Did you get a council summoning?" Gwyndolyn knew that notification sound.

"It's none of your concern," Minyoung snapped, annoyed her coworker hadn't taken the hint to stop bothering her.

"Looks like someone woke up on the wrong side of the nest this morning," Gwyndolyn remarked, and the younger woman kept quiet. "If you were my hatchling, I would scold you about your attitude."

"You have children?" Now, that comment piqued her interest.

"I have ten, dear, and I love all and each one of them equally. They all deserve special treatment," the older coworker softened when the younger woman asked about her family. "I wish my husband contributed more so I could have many children."

"What about siblings?" Minyoung was always curious about those who weren't born or adopted the only offspring to parents.

"I have seven older sisters and four younger brothers. My family is all close despite our varying personalities; it makes for never a dull moment," the albino dragon enthused as the redhead's phone buzzed in her hand. She glanced at it and did a double take, seeing who she had received a message from.

Hello, Sieun. I hope this finds you well. Whether during your lunch break or after work, please visit my office when you are available. By the way, this is me, Yunho.

"Gwyndolyn, a question if you don't mind me still being new to Hell," Minyoung started.

"Please, call me 'Gwyn.' Of course, ask away," Gwyndolyn answered.

"Hypothetically, how would it be possible for a King of Hell to get anyone's phone number?" she knew the accurate conclusion the older woman would come to, hearing the inquiry.

"They can obtain any information they need from your employer and any other sources you may have provided," Gwyndolyn knew better than to say anything about what Minyoung may have received from a leader of Eden.
