 Tbh I forgot about this story and had to read it again to remember what I wrote so I can update. Let's just say 14 year old me DID NOT KNOW HOW TO WRITE. Anyways I MAY edit the previous chapters (dw the context will be the same). I see yall saving this as "abandoned" or "discontinued" 😭. So Imma update this once a week. :)

 Alexander? What on earth is he doing here?  As I continued to think of the possible reasons he could be here I almost forgot that he was here. Alexander sighed and stood in front of me. He is so close. I agree he was a jerk in the novel but why'd he have to be so handsome? My heart was beating fast. Well don't blame me, at some point in time, we all have fallen for the hot villain. Who cares about his or her morals? As long as they are hot. In my previous life, I used to simp over all kinds of characters, but of course, they were fictional. I never had a romantic relationship in my previous life. However now that I am Emma looks have started to hold any significance to me, since I know the nature of most of the people around me. 

 "Are you ok? You seem lost in thought". He had a poker face, that punchable poker face.

"I am fine..  what are you doing here?" I tried to play it off casually. I snapped out of my thoughts. This is no time to drool over the man who is destined to kill me. He is a disgusting person who cheated on Emma with his subordinate and then discarded her when she was of no use.

He seemed caught off guard "hunting..." Liar. He was definitely hiding something but I decided not to probe any further. "Do you need a ride?" he asks hesitantly.

I'd hate to get on a horse with him but I'd rather go with him than stay with that mentally deranged psychopath. Not that Alexander is any better. "Yeah" I say. I hated getting on the horse with him but I didn't have any other choice. He offers his hand to help me on the horse but I ignore it and got on myself. He pulled the reins as the horse started moving. I avoided holding him despite sitting at the back. What were those powers earlier? Am I really a divine being? Was that delusional guy correct?. I unwillingly clench on to Alexander as he increases the speed of the horse. "Why won't you accept the annulment?" I blurt out. I had to convince him for the annulment. I can't stand being around his vicinity but I needed the annulment. I don't care if this is the right time or not.

"....why did you suddenly change your mind?" His voice sounded regretful for some reason. I couldn't see his face. He brought the horse to a stop. Good, it's hard to speak to him when riding the horse. He stays quiet. Right... I have to respond. I can't tell him that I know what he does in the future, that I am just a tool to him. Luckily I am good with making up excuses.

"I need to focus on my succession for the duchy" That's right. I am the heir. A plausible enough excuse.

"Can't you do that while still being with me?". This asshole can't take a hint can he?. He turns to look at me frowning.

 "You of all people should no how hard it is to become the head" I say trying to control myself from pulling his hair and throwing him off the horse. 

"Do you not love me anymore?" He says catching him off guard. What's wrong buddy? Upset that I am no longer a accessible pawn to you anymore?. He sounds so pathetic. Is this what Emma used to sound like?. Poor her. 

"It was a childish crush that's all" I don't want to leave any room for misunderstanding. I don't like him, period. 

He looks as if I just punched him in  the gut "childish?" he says. Alexander doesn't deserve to make that face. He use Emma, treated her like a rag doll. He has no right to feel upset. He is definitely acting. He doesn't deserve Emma, never did and never will. 

"You feel the same way too didn't you? You made that VERY clear on the day we got engaged. Clearly nothing will change that" yes I am being petty and seeing his reaction I love every second of it. I remember reading that part when Emma's brother shouted at Alexander after her death. When Emma and Alexander got engaged the first thing he said to the poor girl was *"don't get your hopes up, this is just a political arrangement. I will never love you"* and delusional Emma believed she could change him, that she could make him fall in love with her if she showed how much she is willing to do for him.

He doesn't speak. Talk about awkward. I get off his horse. I had spotted a stable nearby. I could get a horse from there. "Thankyou from bringing me till here, oh and I expect the annulment papers returned to me, signed and not torn or in ashes this time". He looked like he wanted to say something. He opens his mouth and nothing comes out. He rides away. Good riddance. I go and trade my earrings for a horse. A bit untamed but it will do.
