Chres: (looks at it then back at them)

You: (closes it and look at them)

Zoey: surprise! (Nervously)

You: Zoey. Stop it. (Opens it again) is this a joke?

Zoey: mom no. (Looking between you and chres) I'm pregnant.

Chres: (looks at you)

You: first off, congratulations.

Zoey: thanks. (Smiles)

You: how far along are you?

Zoey: 12 weeks.

You: (look back at the ultrasound)

Chres: (looks at Kida)

Kida: (scratches his ear)

Zoey: I was scared to tell you mom.

You: (shake your head and look at Chres) here's the baby you wanted. (Laugh a little)

Chres: (looking at you with a serious face) Leon. Have a seat sir.

You: Chres. (Whispers in his ear) they're adults babe.

Chres: (looking at them) did y'all plan this?

Kids: No sir. Marriage was the first this I wanted to get done.

Chres: so why didn't you use protection?

Zoey: dad.

Kida: uhh.

You: Chres. What's done is done. Zoey...Kida. Look we know you two will responsible parents. I mean you've made it three months already without us.

Zoey: (smiles a little)

You: Just continue doing what y'all have been doing. We're here if you need any advice or help. Always.

Kida: (looks at Zoey)

Chloe: I told you! Eep I'm going to be an auntie!!!

Kida: (gives Zoey her phone)

You: is that Chloe?

Zoey: (nods) she wanted to hear when I told y'all.

You: Chloe?! You knew and didn't say anything?

Chloe: mom you know you and dad can be unpredictable. I told her I wouldn't say anything.

Chres: (stands up) well. Someone better start looking into a bigger space huh?(looks at Kida)

Kida: oh I've been looking already but our apartment should be fine for the first year right?

You: just fine. We raised the girls til two in an apartment.

Zoey: (stands up) okay. we have to get going

You: Zoey wait. We have to discuss your last year.

Zoey: mom I'm going to finish.

You: if you're three months. The baby will be born in September that's the beginning of your senior year.

Zoey: mom. I got this.

You: (smile) okay. I'm sorry. (Walk over and hug her)

Zoey: thank you mom.

Chres: (stands up and hug her) I love you Zoey.

Zoey: (smiles) love you too dad.

You: (hug Kida) I was worried about the wrong one all this time.

Kida: (laughs nervously) you still don't have to worry.

-3 minutes later-

You: (lock the door and lean on it) Chres.

Chres: what?

You: we're grandparents. (Laughs)

Chres: pshhh. Don't label me.

You: (looking at him)

Chres: I just can't believe Zoey. My little Zoey.

You: (walk up and wrap your arms around him) just be lucky it's at 22.

Chres: (looking at you) you know I want to kill him right?

You: (laugh) yes I know. (Kisses Chres)

Late that day

Chloe: (walks in her apartment)

Josh: surprise!

Chloe: Josh? (Laugh) you play too much.

Josh: I wanted to surprise you.

Chloe: (smiling) I hate you. (Puts down her book bag)

Josh: I love you too. (Walk over and kisses her)

Chloe: (let's him) oh guess what?

Josh: what? (Still kissing her)

Chloe: Joshhh stop. (Laughs and pushes him off)

Josh: okay. Okay. (Stops)

Chloe: Zoey's pregnant.

Josh: what??

Chloe: (nods) she told our parents today.

Josh: Damn Kida was in it raw?

Chloe: hey chill.

Josh: you think we're next?

Chloe: I don't see a ring yet.

Josh; I didn't know you were into that stuff.

Chloe: (looks at him) well if you want that stuff. I'm into that stuff.

Josh: (bites his lip) say less.

Chloe: (kisses him)

Josh: mm.

Chloe: (unbuckles his pants)

Josh: (laughs) you trying to start on this baby now?

Chloe: (laughs)'chill. (Wipes her lips)  I need to shower.

Josh: (looking at her)

Chloe: I was going to Destiny's later. It's game night. You coming?

Josh: uhh. I'm only here for tonight. I'm on the first flight out of here tomorrow.

Chloe: (looks at him)

Josh: if that's what you want to do?

Chloe: Yeah....We do it every month Josh.

Josh: well fine.

Chloe: (heads to the shower)
