SAILOR

I say hello to the sailor

Every once in a while

He rows his boat in the stream nearby.

He often smiles seeing me wave

I wonder if he knows well, the river and the cave.

I wonder if he knows how to return,

Every once a while, just for the sake of his son.

His wife waits in the hut

With a boy five or so,

But deep inside their jolly hearts, they know.

They age older and older with eyes full of hope.

As it takes years, for him to return

He prayed to them, not to mourn.
