PART 5• unexpected

"Let's welcome our new club member!" Itadori said with jazz hands. "Thank you for inviting me here!" I beamed. Even though I didn't really know them well, friends were something I desperately needed, so I tried to make as much conversation as possible. "The principal told us that we're not allowed to work on the field case anymore, so let's just play a game." Takeshi suggested. "Oh, I know, truth or dare!" the other club member said with a teasing glance at Itadori.

"I love truth or dare, so it's fine with me." I said. "And what about you, Itadori?" Sasaki asked. "All right, let's play." Maybe it was just me, but I felt like Itadori was uncomfortable with playing this, so I whispered an "Are you okay?" in  his ear. He put his hand on my shoulder and reassured me that he was okay.

"Y/N, truth or dare?" Itadori asked. "I'm going with truth." I wanted to play it safe because I know Itadori's a playfull person, so I wouldn't want him to make me do anything stupid.

"Do you like someone, like romantically?" He seemed quite nervous while saying this, which I thought was very cute. I don't know, do I like someone? I mean, I like Itadori, but why I don't know. Was it in the way he smiled or spended time with me? I don't know. All I know is that , yes , I like Itadori. A lot.

"Yeah, I do..." I said nervous. Itadori looked at me with a slightly shocked face that then turned into a smile. "Aha, I see." Did he know that it was him that I liked? 
This went on for a few minutes until an hour had already passed. It was currently 4:57, and we were getting ready to leave. Sasaki and Takeshi left, and only I and Itadori were left.

"Do you want me to walk you home?" He asked with a slight concern in his face. "I mean, it's getting late, so yeah, I would love to."

We took our bags and walked out the room. Our conversation was as light as always as we just talked about the club and school. We had arrived at the front gate of the school that the janitor was closing up. "So tell me Y/N, who is it that you like?" I could see he was curious, so I decided to answer fair and honest.

I didn't want anyone to listen in on our conversation, so I quickly turned my head around and got closer to him. "Well, I like you , Itadori." There was silence. I felt the wind going through my hair and the cold winter air touching my cheeks. All of a sudden, I was taken by surprise when Itadori kissed me.
