*~Chapter 5~*

Left and right Trion soldiers were being gunned down by Haruto and Hiroto while Akari ran behind them carrying their Captain. Many B-ranked squads had come across them but quickly made sure to not get in their way. The looks on the team's face as well as how quickly Trion soldiers were being defeated made a quick but smart judgement not to get in their way.

However, among all the people nearby, there was one person who did get in their way. Having been forced to stop their rampage the (L/N) squad glared at the person in front of them.

Akari stood slightly in front to the twins in a triangle formation, her voice dripping with malice she spoke "Jin... What's the meaning of this? Are you trying to stop us from getting to HQ?"

Jin trying to defuse the tension let out a small chuckle as the twins glared at him.

"Yes it's me the power elite Jin! Don't worry I'm not here to stop you however, I do ask you to not return to HQ just yet" He remarks.

Tilting her head towards the ground, her bangs casted a shadow across her face "I see... while under normal circumstances that wouldn't be a problem. However, as you've been informed out Captain was caught so we must bring her back to HQ no matter what"

"I know" Jin sighs "But the battle still isn't over the future-"

"LIKE WE GIVE A DAMN ABOUT THE FUTURE!" Akari yells in pain, tears threatening to fall from her eyes "WITHOUT OUR CAPTAIN THERE IS NO FUTURE!"

This time it was Haruto that spoke up in a cold tone "you could never understand what we all went through before joining the Captain's team"

"How dare you try to stop us from returning" Hiroto snapped his glare piercing Jin.

Sensing he was getting nowhere fast Jin decided to use their situation against them "Well if you go back to base then technically you defied Commander Kido's orders. Even if you are A rank, you'll still be punished harshly, maybe even forced to quit Border"

A chuckly was heard from Akari "you think we give a damn about that, up until now we've only followed Rindo's orders because Captain told us too. But she's not here, and you're trying to stop us from bringing her back. So that makes you our enemy..."

Looking up to make eye contact with Jin, her eyes empty, void of any emotion. It was a look the was shared between her and the twins. A common fact about snipers is that they fight from a distance because they can't fight up close. Which is why when fighting a sniper get as close as you can because hand-to-hand combat is their weakness. However, that logic doesn't apply when it comes to Akari, former Attacker now Sniper. She doesn't ever show it but for this situation she will.

Attaching the bag her Captain is in to her waist Akari holds out her hand which materialises a Scorpion blade. On either side of her the twins hold up their guns pointed directly at Jin, if he doesn't move it would be instant death.

Sensing not only the time before the cross-roads approaching but also the hostile intent raidiating in waves from the squad in front of him Jin raised his hands slightly "Now hold on a second, don't you want to hear what I have to say?"

On the other side of the line Rin releases a sigh before voicing her opinion, still quite fired up but still thinking rationally "Everyone, we should atleast hear what he has to say before you try and gut him."

"But Rin-" Akari speaks up.

"No buts, listen to him" Rin cuts her off.

Taking a breathe in Akari calms down "Fine then, Jin, start talking however, if what you say has not interest to us, we'll cut you down"

Lies... Akari, even the twins know they have a slim chance of beating the person in front of them. But still they'll give it a good shot, all they'll need is for one person to break through him and escape with the captain.

With the air feeling less tense Jin begins to explain "There's going to be a moment soon where your squad will be of great help, you won't change the future but it'll help a whole bunch"

Hi hi author here to apologise for like never uploading to this, Ive just grown and changed so much that writing is no longer a passion of mine. That being said it does mean this book is being discontinued I'm sorry <3
